Y/N’s POV
I’m sitting at my usual café, stirring my coffee absentmindedly, waiting for my soon-to-be husband.
I had called Uncle earlier, told him I was ready to meet him. He had sounded relieved, immediately telling me to meet someone he’d send. I said okay, though honestly… I wasn’t interested.
I’m doing this for my uncle. That’s all.
I order my coffee and let out a soft sigh, my fingers tapping on the table as I glance at the entrance. A part of me didn’t expect much. Maybe that’s safer.
After a while, a man enters the café, scanning the place as if searching for someone. He leans towards the waitress, whispers something, and then his eyes lock onto me.
He approaches politely, “Hi… are you Y/N ma’am?”
“Yes,” I replied, standing up slightly.
He bows politely, “Hello, my name is Han. I’m Jeon Jungkook’s driver. He sent me to give you this and also… to apologize.” He gently extends a bouquet toward me.
I bow back and accept it. “Thank you.”
He nods, giving me a small smile. “Actually, sir had an urgent meeting. He truly wanted to come, but it was unavoidable.”
I nod understandingly, though a small wave of disappointment stirs somewhere inside me. “It’s okay. I can understand.”
Han bows once again. “I’ll take my leave then.”
As he exits, I return to my seat, my fingers gently brushing against the delicate petals. The bouquet is beautiful — carefully chosen. I can tell.
From this… I understand Jungkook is a busy man. A responsible man. Yet, he remembered to send me flowers.
I smiled faintly, stood up, and made my way back to my apartment.

Jungkook’s POV
Today was supposed to be the day. The day I’d finally meet her.
But just as I was about to leave, my secretary barged in, panic clear in her voice — an urgent meeting. One we couldn’t cancel.
I clenched my jaw in frustration. Of all days…
I didn’t want to break my word. I had told Uncle I would meet her today.
So, I sent Han with a bouquet. At least… something. But my heart kept nagging me. I hope she didn’t mind. I’ll make up for it.

Author’s POV — Later That Night
Y/N returned to her apartment, placing the bouquet gently on the coffee table as she sank into the sofa. She stared at the flowers for a moment, admiring their soft hues, until her eyes caught sight of a folded note nestled among them.
