It was the wedding day. Y/N sat quietly in her room, fully dressed, looking like an absolute queen. Her dress flowed around her like a dream, every intricate detail enhancing her beauty. She waited, heart fluttering with a mix of nerves and excitement.
Her uncle walked in, his eyes soft but silent, offering his hand without a word. His wife stood at the doorway, watching. Y/N placed her hand gently in his, holding a white bouquet with the other, and together they began walking towards the aisle.
With each step, Y/N could feel her heart pounding louder. Would he be waiting? Would he be watching? And as soon as she saw Jungkook at the altar, standing tall amidst his teasing friends, all her nervousness melted away. His eyes found hers instantly, locking her in place.
Jungkook froze. His friends were nudging him, whispering things, but he didn’t hear a word. In that moment, only she existed. She was breathtaking, every inch of her glowing, and a possessive thought clenched his heart — mine. Only I should be allowed to look at her like this.
Y/N approached, her uncle guiding her steadily. Jimin gave Jungkook a sharp nudge, snapping him out of his daze. Realizing himself, Jungkook stepped forward, gently taking Y/N’s hand into his own.
“Keep her happy,” her uncle said firmly, placing her hand into Jungkook’s.
Jungkook nodded, his grip around her hand tightening slightly as if silently promising that he would never let go.
Before leading her to the priest, Jungkook leaned down slightly, whispering into her ear, “You look so beautiful… ”
Y/N’s cheeks flushed instantly, her heart stammering as she lowered her gaze.
The vows began.
“Do you, Jeon Jungkook, take Lee Y/N as your lawfully wedded wife?”
“I do,” Jungkook said, his voice warm and sure.
“Do you, Lee Y/N, take Jeon Jungkook as your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do,” Y/N replied softly, still looking down.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Sensing her nervousness, Jungkook didn’t rush. He smiled softly, leaned in, and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead. The applause that followed felt distant to him — all he could feel was her trembling slightly under his touch.
The Jeon family rushed in, embracing the newlyweds. Jimin and Taehyung approached with wide grins.
“Congratulations, Jungkook and Y/N!” they cheered.
“Thank you,” both replied together, their voices a bit shy.
Jimin and Taehyung introduced themselves to Y/N, their playful nature making her relax a little more.

Arriving at their home, Jungkook carried Y/N’s suitcase to their room.
“You can change first,” he said softly, while he went out to other room.
Y/N changed into a simple nightdress, still feeling a little awkward in the new environment. When Jungkook came in, freshly changed, he glanced at her, his eyes soft yet unsure.
“Umm… are you comfortable sleeping on the same bed?” he asked, careful not to make her uncomfortable.
Y/N nodded, moving to the right side of the bed. She lay down, facing away, trying to calm her heartbeat. Jungkook took the left side, keeping a respectful distance. But as the night grew quiet, their hands brushed under the blanket, a fleeting touch that made both of them freeze for a second. Neither of them said a word, pretending to sleep, but their hearts were racing silently.

Y/N woke up, feeling a heavy warmth on her chest. Blinking slowly, she looked down to see Jungkook’s head resting peacefully against her, his arms wrapped protectively around her waist. For a moment, she didn’t want to move him. He looks so peaceful… is it wrong that I don’t want to wake him?
But eventually, she gently moved his hands, shifting his head onto the pillow with utmost care. She checked the clock — 5:00 AM.
Y/N tiptoed towards the closet, grabbed her clothes, and freshened up before heading to the kitchen.
While she was preparing breakfast quietly, a pair of arms suddenly slid around her waist. She flinched, startled by the unexpected touch, and turned her head quickly.
Jungkook stood behind her, his face showing immediate worry. “Sorry… did I make you uncomfortable?” he asked gently.
“No, no… it’s just that you startled me,” Y/N replied, shaking her head slightly with a shy smile.
He smiled softly and rested his chin on her shoulder, his breath grazing her ear. “You should be resting, sweetheart. Why are you up so early?” he murmured, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine.
“I’m used to waking up early,” she replied, trying to focus back on cooking, though her cheeks were warming under his closeness.
Suddenly, a sharp yelp escaped Jungkook’s mouth. Mrs. Jeon had appeared behind him, pulling his ear firmly.
“Why are you bothering my daughter-in-law this early, hmm?” she scolded, tugging his ear playfully.
“Mom! I’m not doing anything! Ahh, please, spare my ear!” Jungkook whined, pouting at his mother with his big doe eyes.
Mrs. Jeon let go, chuckling, while Y/N giggled softly at their interaction.
“You know,” Mrs. Jeon said, turning to Y/N, “he’s been like this since childhood. Always clinging to the ones he loves.”
Y/N blushed, stealing a shy glance at Jungkook who looked away, trying to hide his own flustered expression.
Mrs. Jeon then noticed the array of dishes Y/N had prepared and gasped. “Oh my goodness! Why did you prepare so much food?”
“Umm… should I have made something else?” Y/N asked nervously, biting her lip.
“No, no, my dear! You should be resting. It’s your first morning after marriage,” Mrs. Jeon said, cupping Y/N’s face gently.
“I’m fine, really. I’m not that tired,” Y/N assured her with a soft smile.
Mrs. Jeon patted her head lovingly. “Alright then, let’s have breakfast. I’ll call your father-in-law.”
Y/N and Jungkook started setting the table together. Jungkook helped her carry the dishes, sneaking little glances at her as if every second his heart softened more.
Soon, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon joined them at the dining table. Jungkook sat beside Y/N, and as he took a bite of the food, his eyes widened in delight.
“Wow, sweetheart, this is delicious!” Jungkook said, taking another generous bite, completely oblivious to how red Y/N’s cheeks became at his casual endearment.
(Oh God… what is he saying?) Y/N thought, lowering her gaze, her heart racing.
“Yes, Y/N, it’s really tasty,” Mrs. Jeon added with a proud smile.
“Indeed, it’s delicious,” Mr. Jeon agreed, nodding in approval.
Y/N sighed in relief, thankful that no one seemed to notice Jungkook’s little slip. But inside, a soft warmth was blooming.
