I sighed as I knocked on Robyn's door to get my daughter Ny'Elli. She answered.
Robyn - what Beau?
Beau - I came to get my daughter.
She called for Ellie.
Me and Robyn were high school sweethearts but she broke it off with me after she had Ellie, because I wouldn't marry her. I loved Robyn , I still love her but marriage felt like a big step for us and I was content just being a dad at that time.
Beau - how have you been Robyn?
Robyn - I've been watching your kid for the last month and a half
Beau - only because I had to finish a piece for the gallery.
Robyn - why can't you get an office job.
Beau - I don't want an office job. I'm an artist and it's not like I'm struggling.
Robyn - well I need some money.
Beau - I just gave you 500 last week for Ellie.
Robyn - Beau that's not enough.
Beau - you spending it on yourself that's why.
Even though I don't get to see Ny'Elli as often as I want to. I send Robyn money to provide for her which probably isn't a good idea and I should just buy what she needs instead.
Ny'Elli came to the door.
Ellie - hi daddy
I picked her up and kissed her cheek.
Beau - hi baby.
Robyn - have her home by 9.
Beau - okay

I went into my studio while Ny'Elli got settled in her room.
