I woke up and turned over , seeing Beau sleeping peacefully. I slept over at his house. I missed being here honestly. We have so many memories in this house.
I caressed his face. The swelling in his face has gone down a bit.
I sat up.
Beau - lay back down
I looked over and saw him awake.
Mel - how do you feel?
Beau - I feel much better than I did last night.
Mel - that's good
He kissed my cheek.
Beau - would you pick up Ellie from my parents. I'm sure my parents would love to see you
Mel - okay
Beau - I need to go talk with Robyn.
Mel - so you didn't leave her.
Beau - I did leave her. No need to get jealous. It's just how we plan to coparent moving forward.
Mel - you still wanna coparent after she got her brothers to beat your ass yesterday. You better than me because it's fuck that hoe until I die.
Beau - I won't keep Ellie from her even though I should.
Mel - Do you want another kid?
Beau - I wouldn't be opposed to having another one. Ellie needs a sibling. You tryna tell me something?
Mel - why would I be pregnant and we haven't had sex yet?
Beau - I know but I thought you were implying you wanted me to get you pregnant.
Mel - I think I'm not cut out to be a mom.
Beau - you're good with kids baby. Ellie loves you
He kissed me.
Mel - Beau I have expectations of what parent I want to be if I had a kid and if I'm not that parent I'll feel like I failed my kid
Beau - Parenting is honestly a dice roll. You aren't going be great at it but you just do what is best for the child. You don't have to be afraid because of the circumstances you grew up in, doesn't define you as a person.
He placed his hand on my thigh.
Mel - you want breakfast?
Beau - yeah.
Mel - are you gonna let me get up to cook for you?
Beau - just order something
Mel - Beau I make food that's 100 times better than the bullshit you eat
Beau - when I didn't have you around, I had to eat bullshit.
Mel - well I'm home now.
Beau - I know. Thank god.

After I went home and showered despite Beau's pleas for me to stay , while he went to my house and packed me a bag to stay an entire week, I went to his parents house to pick up Ellie.
I knocked on the door. His dad answered.
He pulled me into a hug.
Dennis - hey Mel, we missed you
Mel - I missed you guys too.
He let me in.
His mom saw me and ran over to hug me.
