I felt my heart racing as I looked at the envelope with my results in it.  Beau walked in from the twins room.

I opened the envelope and my eyes immediately watered.

Beau - what d-

I punched him.

Mel - you dirty bitch .

He held his nose as it bled.

Beau - I'm sorry.  I just really want us to move forward.  We can get past this

Mel - past what? The fact that you cheated on me and gave me syphilis.

Beau - I got it too.

Mel -   And I don't feel bad for you. I trusted you with my body and this is a violation.

Beau - baby

Thank god syphilis is curable  , but that don't mean I'll forgive him. If he wasn't fucking around on me , we wouldn't be in this situation.

Beau - I'll seek therapy . I'll do whatever I have to make our family whole again.

I hate the fact that I still love this man.

Mel -  Ima go pick up my medicine.  I wouldn't have to take it if you weren't slinging dick

Mel - do you not realize you compromised my health? You fucked around on me and expect me  to be cool with it. I'm not the type to sweep nothing under the rug and you know that.  

Beau - I love you and I'm sorry.   I promise I will never do nothing like that again.  Another woman shouldn't even been on my mind. She approached me and ask to dance for me and I thought it was harmless but one thing led to another. I thought it would be a one time thing but she kept coming back and I gave in. I never should've been weak.

Mel -  it's not about being weak. You disrespected me and our children.

I got in the car staring at the antibiotics.   I sighed.  I  never thought Beau would do something like this.   I thought that we were doing just fine , but he thought otherwise. It's kinda makes me question myself because if Amir and Beau both cheated on me with her , then what's the issue with me. After two kids I know I'm not in the best shape but he said he liked the weight gain, which is starting to feel like a lie honestly.  

I went back home. Ny'Elli was watching TV with Beau.

Ellie - hi Mel

Mel - hey

Ellie - what's wrong

Mel -  it's nothing sweetheart. I'll be fine.

Beau looked down.

My eyes watered more. I went upstairs. I sat the pills on the nightstand. The longer I look at that bottle, the more I see the betrayal. Maybe I wasn't doing what I needed to as a wife  because if I was he wouldn't have been out looking jat another woman.

My' Elli  looked at me.

Ellie - Mel is really upset daddy. What did you do?

Beau - I got her sick.

Ellie - that's mean. You just coughing and sneezing on her like that and now she probably gonna get us sick too because we gotta live here.  Go say sorry

Beau -   I already did. It won't change anything

Ellie - that's why you don't live here because you got sick first and then got Mel sick.

Beau - yeah.

I went  in her room.

Mel - get out

Beau -  what's the matter

Mel - nothing you can fix.

Beau - Mel  , take to me please so I can fix whatever is wrong

Mel - alright. Why'd you do it. You clearly weren't drunk from what you told me so why'd you sleep with her

Mel - you do know

Beau - she was just there.

Mel - Do you not find me attractive anymore?

Beau - yeah

Mel - you sound unsure so I'll take that as a sign to get in the gym. Thanks Beau, if  you wanted me to lose the weight, you could've told me.  Anything else you don't like about me?

Beau -  why are you comparing yourself to her.

Mel - that's what you like now.

I honestly don't know what to say.

Beau looked at me.

I wiped my face as the tears kept coming.

Beau - Melody stop it

Magnolia walked in.

Magnolia - oh no. Mommy cry.Marshy mommy cry

Marshall came in and ran over to Mel and hugged her.

He rubbed her back.

Marshall - it's okay mommy

Magnolia - why mommy cry daddy

Beau didn't say a word

Mel - y'all go downstairs with your sister. I have to talk to your daddy.

They left. I looked at Beau and got up and shut  the door.

Mel - I think that it would be in our best interest to separate for a few months. You obviously need to figure your situation and I need time to clear my head and think about what I need to do for the kids. 

Beau - divorce is out of the question at this point. You're not leaving me

Mel - you don't get to make demands Beau.    Who do you think you are?

Beau - your husband.

Mel - get out

Beau - for what

Mel - I'm not dealing with you or this anymore. I'll call you when I'm ready for you to come back.

He can't demand shit because he's the one that stepped out on me.
