Chapter 18

One day after the wedding...

It had been one whole day since Vegas and Pete were married. Today was the day for them to leave the island and go back to their place. While everyone was busy packing and loading things onto the boat that was supposed to take them back, Vegas and Pete, with the children, were busy talking and were receiving blessings from grandma.

Grandma: "I hope both of you will have a great future together. May your future be full of happiness and joy. Stay with each other at all times and be there for each other during hard times."

Pete: "Thank you grandma. We will come back again to take you back to Bangkok."

Grandma: "Oh boy, there's no need of that. I can live by myself over here."

Vegas: "Yaai, we know that. But Pete really wants you to come to Bangkok with him so that he can look after you from now."

Grandma: "I'll think about it and I'll let you both know. But for now, off you go to Bangkok!! Have a safe journey boys."

They hugged each other and then when they were done, both Vegas and Pete walked towards the boat that was waiting for them. They got onto it and then from the boat, which was big enough to accommodate all of them, they waved a final goodbye to grandma before the island disappeared and was out of their sight.

It was afternoon when they arrived in the main family's mansion. After they had unpacked everything, Vegas and Pete took their belongings and went off to their own place. After an exhausting drive, they arrived at their mansion. While Pete had gone inside to put the children to sleep, Vegas and Macau, with help from Nop and a few other bodyguards, unloaded their luggage. As soon as they reached inside, both of them went straight to their bedrooms to sleep for a while.

It was evening by the time Vegas woke up from his sleep. He could see that Pete was fast asleep beside him, with one arm around his abdomen and one leg on him. Technically, Pete was sleeping on Vegas and he didn't mind it. Since he had three days off, he decided to make the best use of them, by taking Pete to various places. In fact, he wanted to take Pete on a honeymoon. He already had a destination in mind. Slowly, without disturbing Pete, he got out from from the bed and he headed towards his office. In his office, he was looking up other destinations where they could spend their honeymoon. There were many on his screen, but in the end he chose Greece, because the city of Greece was pretty and both of them had always wanted to go there. After Vegas had ensured that the destination was booked and all formalities had been completed, he went inside his bedroom and found Pete fast asleep. As he was feeling hungry, he decided to get some dinner ready for Pete and himself. He called Nop and gave a few instructions.

Vegas: "Nop, I want dinner to be ready as soon as possible. And yes, starting from tomorrow until the next 15 days, me and Pete won't be here. Macau and a few friends of his will be here, so I want you to take good care of them, especially Macau. And also, if there's any problem call me right away. Do you understand?"

Nop: "Yes, Khun Vegas."

After a hour or so, dinner was ready. Vegas went near the bed and spoke sweetly and softly to wake up Pete.

Vegas: "Pete, wake up already. It's time for dinner and we need to go eat."

Pete: "For how long was I asleep? I was really tired from our journey so I guess I overslept."

Vegas: "No, you didn't. You deserve to sleep because I could see you were visibly tired. Now, let's go down to eat okay? I need to talk to you later."

Pete: "Okay fine."

Both of them went downstairs to eat the dinner that was prepared. Macau was already waiting for them at the table. All three of them ate silently, with Pete occasionally asking Macau about his college.

Pete: "Macau, how's your college? Is it going well? How are your studies?"

Macau: "They are going good, P'Pete. The subjects this year are also of my interest, so I think everything is great."

Pete: "That's great to hear, Macau! You can ask me or Vegas if you need any help okay?"

Macau: "Sure P'Pete."

Dinner was done and since Macau had to do some work, he went upstairs. Pete was now doing the dishes and Vegas slowly snaked his arm around his beautiful husband.

Vegas: "Pete, do you need any help?"

Pete: "I'm almost done, Vegas. We can go upstairs after a while."

Vegas: "Pete, I have something to say that's very important. Can you please turn around?"

Pete: "Sure. What is it Vegas?"

Vegas: "I've planned our honeymoon trip to Greece. We'll leave day after tomorrow in the morning and it'll be mostly evening by the time we reach there. I've arranged everything for the trip and Nop will take care of the household. Macau will be here to take care of Venice and Florence. If you want, your grandma can come here to take care of these three."

Pete: "Really? I love you very much Vegas!!!! But why a sudden trip?"

Vegas: "Pete, I've always wanted to travel with you, and I think this is the perfect timing for us. It's only for two weeks and Macau and the children will be under the supervision of Nop and your grandma. If you could, will you call and ask her?"

Pete: "I will. I'll let you know as soon as possible okay?"

Vegas: "Mn, okay."

After the dishes were done, Pete decided to call up his grandma and ask if she wanted to come here for a few days.

Pete: "Hello grandma. How are you doing? Have you finished eating dinner yet?"

Grandma: "My boy Pete, I'm doing well and yes, I finished eating. What about you? What's with the sudden call?"

Pete: "Grandma, can you come here for a few days? Me and Vegas are going out on a trip and the children including Macau are staying back. Can you come here to take care of them?"

Grandma: "My boy, I would love to do that! But who will come here to take me there?"

Pete: "I'll ask Vegas to send someone by tomorrow okay? Thank you so much grandma!!"

Grandma: "No need to thank me Pete. I would love to spend some more time with Macau and the children."

Pete: "Umm, I know. Okay then grandma, I'll call you tomorrow. Take care of yourself okay? Good night."

Grandma: "Good night to you too."
