Ch.3 A Small Favor

(A/N: I apologize once again for not updating often writers block has been my worst enemy for the past few weeks but my friends and I are slowly coming up with ideas for the chapters ahead, and once this story is completed I will go back and fix things. Thanks for the support I appreciate you guys so much.) 

Alex's POV

The rangers head back to base they take a seat around the table as Tommy and I stand in front of them William looks at us eager to know what we found out.

"So, what did you guys find out?"

Tommy presses a button bringing up the screen the rangers look at the images. 

"While you guys were fighting, we found out more about what these monsters they are called Barbarics and Bargon's their leader is Akar, Alex go ahead."

The rangers turn their attention to me wondering what information I have about Akar. 

"Akar is a ruthless man he won't stop until the job is done, he's not afraid to destroy anyone or anything that stands in his way."

Angela looks over at me crossing her arms and furrowing her brows in confusement. 

"It sounds like you know him, Alex."

"The headmasters told me stories about him I didn't think anything of it at the time I thought the stories they told me were fairy tales."

William looks over at me 

"What else did they tell you?"

"Before he turned evil Akar was a headmaster at the ancient temple the students adored him, one of the students Sarka she was different from the rest she impressed everyone with her magic."

Allyson shakes her head letting out an annoyed huff.

"So, we're dealing with someone who has magic, great."

I slowly nod my head then glance over at Allyson.

"Sarka is very easy to anger she almost wiped out the entire student body when she got angry with another headmaster, you'll have to be extra careful when dueling her."

David turns to Tommy.

"Is that how the Barbarics grow is Sarka's magic."

Tommy nods slowly 

"I'm afraid so, Alex what else do we need to know about Akar."

"Akar has a brother Valdis, he's an amazing swordsman someone you don't want to mess with, and my guess Akar and Valdis had Sarka use her magic to make them stronger."

Tommy looks at the rangers.

"These three will come after you someday, so you have to be ready for when that time comes."

Chris looks over at Tommy smirking

"Don't worry Tommy I know we'll be ready for when those three come."

I shake my head from what I was told about the trio they'll strike all at once when they're ready making them very strong and hard to defeat I stand up taking a few steps away from the table I can feel everyone's eyes on me David gets up and stands next to me.

" What is it?"

" What if we aren't ready for when they come what if they take over and destroy the world?"

Angela quickly stands up giving me a look

" Don't talk like that Alex, we're more than ready to battle these three when the time comes"

" I know for a fact you five won't be enough to handle them on your own it doesn't matter how strong you are these three will be at top peak they'll be ready to destroy you"

Chris turns looking at Tommy with hope in his eyes

" You should suit up with us Tommy"

Tommy looks down sighing 

" I would love to guys but I need to lay low for a while when the time does come I will gladly suit up and fight with you"

David looks over at us

" Is there more about Akar?"

I shake my head

" No this is all the info that I know about him I'll write to Jade see if she'll fill me in a little more about Akar"

The others slowly nod I could tell they by their expressions were nervous I don't blame I would be nervous too going up against the trio I kind of wish I was helping them fight the Barbarics, help save the world from evil but I have to find my parents but the search is going very slow the computer still hasn't picked up anything I let out a sigh and grab my flute and head towards the door Allyson furrows her brows in confusement

" Where are you going?"

" Out for a bit I need some time to myself if thats alright"

Tommy nods

" Of course, but don't venture far"

I nod and head out of the base to the one place I can relax and be at ease the lake, I take a seat on the grass, a soft breeze blows through I let out a soft sigh and begin to play a song.

Back at base the rangers sit around the table thinking back to the meeting, William shakes his head and looks up at the others

" Alex is right you guys us five won't be enough to take them down"

Chris looks over at William

" Come on dude we're power rangers we've got this"

Angela looks over at Chris giving him a look

" Don't be so cocky Chris, Alex knows more about these guys more than we do and she's right it doesn't matter how strong we are if we had an extra hand then maybe we'll be ready until now we have to prepare ourselves for when the time comes"

Allyson looks down at the table sighing

" If all three do attack at the same time we'll need to come up with a game plan"

David looks at the others

" If all three do attack at the same time we need to take out Sarka first with her magic who knows what she'll do"

William nods in agreement

" If she can make these Barbarics she'll be able to make anything or make herself into a very powerful monster

I look out at the water letting out a sigh the search for my parents is going slow I look down at the flute shaking my head I wish they left me with something else to help me, just then a chill goes down my spine I think I'm being watched I turn around scanning the area, nothing I quickly get up and head back to base.

Meanwhile deep in the cave Akar paces he has a hand on his chin thinking of how he can take the rangers down

" We've already had two Barbaric's defeated we cannot let those rangers win"

Sarka walks up to him placing her hands on her hips letting out an annoyed huff. 

" So what now?"

" It's time to give those rangers a challenge create a Barbaric that won't go down that easily, make them suffer"

" I'll see what I can come up with"

Valdis watches a portal from the previous battles he studies each ranger closely

" Interesting these rangers don't seem to be a match for us why don't we go and take them on our own right now."

Akar turns to his brother giving him a look

" You know why we can't yet, our powers aren't ready yet and if we use up too much magic we'll be stuck here even longer to recover"

" It was your idea to start using magic you knew what toll it would take on us we weren't meant to take on so much power Akar"

" I know it was! I'd rather have all this power than be a weakling and once we're ready those rangers won't know what hit our magic will be powerful enough to bring them to their knees. Sarka where's my Barbaric"

" Come up Akar"

Sarka waves her hand in front of the portal using her magic she creates a new Barbaric Toxinwraith cackles as he arises from the portal

" Glad to be here, Toxinwraith at your service"
