Ch.11 Battle of the Wolves

A full moon shines down upon the path, Zen-Aku makes his way through the forest he stops and looks around 

" Today will be the end of the Lunar Wolf ranger she shall be destroyed once and for all then I'm coming for you Merrick."

Alex's POV 

I wake up early to get some training in I have a feeling Zen-Aku is close and I need to be ready, I look down at the device dad gave me he said this will help me in battle with Zen-Aku I put the device down and begin to train, Tommy walks by he stands by the door watching me

" You're up early."

" I need to prepare myself for when Zen-Aku returns I have to be ready."

" You're a wonderful fighter Alex, I know you're ready to battle him."

" What if I fail?"

" Don't think like that you are more than capable to take Zen-Aku down, believe in yourself."

" Tommy's right you know, and an attitude like that won't help either."

Tommy and I turn hearing the voice from behind us Morgan stands at the door giving me a faint smile she walks over to us. 

" A little bird told me you finally met your father."

" I did and once the Barbaric's are defeated I'm going home with him."

" I'm glad to hear that Alex but first things first you must defeat Zen-Aku once and for all."

" I know but Zen-Aku's strong he almost got the best of me and if it wasn't for you and the others I would be history."

" Believe in yourself, never give up, Zen-Aku will be a tough battle but I know you can do it."

" If I don't fight him alone he'll just run again I can't let that happen."

Tommy puts a hand on my shoulder

" Then give it your all, and when the time is right use the device your father gave you."

" He's waiting for me I know he is, I won't be back until he's defeated."

" Good luck Alex and be careful."

" I will Aunt Morgan."

" I'll let the others know about your whereabouts."

" Thanks Tommy."

" Good luck out there."

I head out of HQ heading to the forest I look around no sign of Zen-Aku I pull out my flute letting out a sigh I slowly raise the flute to my lips and begin to play.

Zen-Aku hears the flute he lets out a low growl and follows the music he comes upon Alex she continues to play as he nears her Alex finishes her song and lowers her flute looking at Zen-Aku who bores his yellow eyes into hers 

" So, you finally met your father."

" I did, he told me everything I need to know about you."

" Is that so."

" Oh yeah, he told me how to defeat you once and for all."

Zen-Aku lets out a snarl 

" We'll see about that, crescent blade."

" Wild access."

I jump out of the way of Zen-Aku's attack he charges at me I quickly pull out the lunar cue blocking his attack I manage to break away and swing the lunar cue striking him 

" I won't let you win ranger your father will pay dearly for what he's done."

" He didn't do anything to you its all in your head."

" He left me to be with a woman and told me to be gone."

" He did it to protect his family, lunar cue sniper mode."

I change the lunar cue into sniper mode, I pull the trigger Zen-Aku dodges the attack, with is speed Zen-Aku jumps up striking me over and over causing me to fall to the ground I quickly recover. 

" Is that all you got? I thought you'd put more effort into this battle."

" I have more tricks up my sleeve ranger I hope you're ready for what's to come."

Meanwhile back at the cave Akar, Sarka, and Valdis watch the fight between Alex and Zen-Aku through the portal Akar watches Alex closely.

" This will be a close battle between the two."

Sarka looks over at Akar

" Who's going to win?"

Akar looks over at Sarka giving her a look she quickly looks back down into the portal Valdis leans in watching closely. 

" The lunar wolf ranger is strong, but she hasn't won against Zen-Aku the last few times she went up against him, what makes this battle different?"

" That device on her belt is what will make this battle much more different."

The three continue to watch the battle, back at HQ everyone is worried about how the battle is going David paces as a million of thoughts run though his mind, he lets out a sigh then goes up to the computer everyone looks up watching what he does, Angela raises her brows.

" What are you doing David?"

" I want to know how the battle is going."

William looks over at David.

" I'm sure Alex is doing great and before you'll know it she'll be walking through the door."

David quickly types away the others go over seeing what he's doing David then pulls up footage from the forest Allyson looks at him confused

" Since when is there a camera in the forest?"

" Tommy and I installed one to see if we could spot Zen-Aku over the weekend and there she is."

The rangers crowd the computer eyes glued to the screen as they watch Alex and Zen-Aku duel 

This duel feels like its been going on for hours now but I can't let my team down, I can't let my aunt down, and I can't let my dad down. Never give up. I swing at Zen-Aku he catches the lunar cue with ease he throws me over I hit the ground hard. 

" Never give up Alex, you've got to win this."

I slowly get back up only to have Zen-Aku wrap his hand around my throat lifting me off the ground. 

" You haven't won the last few battles we've had ranger too bad you're little friends aren't here to save you like last time."

Zen-Aku throws me on the ground he raises his crescent blade I then remembered the device dad gave me I take it off my belt holding it up just then a flash of light erupts from the device causing Zen-Aku to stumble backwards when he looks back at me he lets out a growl

" Impossible."
