Ch.4 Blast from the Past

Alex's POV

I'm lost in thought the only thing on my mind is my parents I'm nowhere close to finding them; I pace in the living room as I do another scan on the flute the others are in the back training Tommy looks up from the newspaper clearing his throat I stop and look at him.

"You're causing a draft Alex."

"Sorry Tommy it's just the search for my parents is getting nowhere."

"Patience Alex I'm sure something will come up sooner or later."

"I hope so."

"Hey you've been a great help around here Alex and I'm impressed with how fast you learned everything."

"What can I say I'm a fast learner, that's one thing the headmasters teach you."

" Oh speaking of headmasters, this came for you"

Tommy holds up a letter I see the seal of the headmasters I quickly take the letter and open it

My dearest Alex it's good to hear from you. I'm glad to hear you're doing well I hope everyone is treating you good. I'm sorry to hear that the search for your parents is getting nowhere but we do hope you find them someday soon. When you do, bring them by the ancient temple sometime we would love to meet them.

We feared that Akar would return someday to take over if Sarka and Valids help we do fear the worst is to come I hope this team of power rangers is able to destroy them once and for all. We believe that all three will attack at the same time. Be careful of Sarka she'll have many tricks up her sleeve, no telling what her magic can and will do. Valdis is a master of blades and a dangerous man he doesn't fight fair so do be careful when going up against him.

If Akar had Sarka use her magic to make them powerful you must be at your top remember what we've taught you don't let our lessons go to waste, we believe in you Alex, we always have. Make us proud and never back down from a fight. Until then my dearest Alex take care, hope to see you again soon.

I close the letter letting out a small sigh Tommy looks at me concerned.

"Everything alright"

"Yeah everything's fine, Jade gave us a heads up for what's to come"

"What did she say?"

" They'll attack together Sarka will have many tricks up her sleeve who knows what she'll do with her magic, Valdis is a master of blades and doesn't fight fair he'll do anything to see his opponent get taken down the rangers will be put through a battle of their lifetime I do hope they're ready"

The ranger's step into the living room after finishing up their training Angela notices the letter in my hand and points to it.

" What's the word Alex?"

" I hope you guys are ready for a battle of your life, according to Jade all three will attack at the same time Sarka will use her magic, Valdis is a master of blades and Akar well he'll be pretty strong"

Chris stretches out his arms and smirks

"Don't worry we'll be ready I know it those three won't stand a chance against us."

Allyson and Angela give Chris a look he holds up his hands

" Right sorry"

David lets out a sigh he looks back at Tommy who is deep in thought

" What is it Tommy?"

" I was just thinking when these three do come we'll have to figure out a strategy be one step ahead of them"

The rangers gather around Tommy ready to hear his plan.

" We'll try and catch them off guard we'll ambush them"

Angela crosses her arms and shakes her head

" I think they'll expect something like that from what I hear these guys are going to expect the unexpected Tommy"

I scratch the back of my head and think to myself while the others are discussing a game plan to take on the trio, I let out a sigh looking back at the others I raise my hand they turn to me Tommy lets out a small chuckle

" No need to raise your hand Alex, this isn't school"

William looks at me with a soft look

" What's on your mind?"

" You guys said your parents were rangers before, do you think your parents might help us?"

The others look at each other then back to me letting out a sigh Angela walks up to me putting a hand on my shoulder

" I'm not sure if they'll help us they want us to take responsibility now."

"You're they're children wouldn't you want them to help you in your toughest times"

My jaw drops a little after I realized what I just said I could feel all eyes on me I glance around the room I could see the rangers giving me a soft look I let out a sigh and shake my head Tommy puts his hand on my shoulder giving it a small squeeze.

" Walk with me"

Tommy and I leave HQ I look down at the sidewalk as we walk in silence we stop at the park I glace up at Tommy as he leans against a tree and looks at me

" What's on your mind Alex?"

"Too much Tommy"

" I'm all ears"

" It's just the search for my parents its getting nowhere everyday its a dead end, I'm not sure I'll find them"

" Don't think that Alex I'm sure your parents are out there somewhere they might be looking for you as we speak"

I shake my head and cross my arms

"When I was at the ancient temple, I would think that someday they would come for me and take me home just like the others, but they never came I thought they just forgot so I waited a few days, they never came next thing I know a new year has passed and it was the same thing over and over"

" Have you tried going to the station?"

" They would tell me I'm wasting their time since I only have a flute"

Just then Tommy's watch beeps he looks around he turns bringing his communicator to his mouth I quietly slip away

" Tommy here"

" Tommy its Angela, we need you back at base something just surfaced but it doesn't look like a Barbaric"

" We're on our way Alex they- Alex? Oh no Alex! Guys Alex is gone she must have slipped away when I turned my back"

" I'm sure she'll be alright"

Tommy hurries back to HQ to see what was urgent

" Alright guys what's up"

David, Angela and William stand around the computer David turns to Tommy stumped

" While you and Alex were gone our sensors picked something up but it doesn't look like a Barbaric"

" Let me see"
