Mandalore

A vast amount of white sand covered the landscape on the planet known as Mandalore. It looked almost abandoned and lifeless as crater-like holes littered the ground in every direction. The only hint of life was the various objects poking out of the ground. The most noticeable one being domed shaped. And it was huge compared to the others.

This domed shaped object was the capital of Mandalore. Sundari. It didn't look very lively from the outside as the only signs of movement was from the various docks it had and the few ships going off from its platforms. But the inside was a different story.

People could be seen walking around in the many walkways it had. Automated transports could be seen flying in the air bringing people from one place to another as their police force kept a watchful eye on everything. Even the kids were occupied or doing their own things as many were in school or the royal academies learning.

It looked almost peaceful. But how long would that peacefulness last was a question some had. And for some that peace looked as if it was about to vanish. Because something was brewing over their planet currently. And the news was just starting to spread, almost like a wildfire. News that the Zeridian fleet had just entered into their system.

In the Sundari royal palace Duchess Satine could be seen sitting down thinking to herself with a worried look as her advisors spoke out openly on why Zeridian had brought a fleet in their system.

No one truly knew about these people. They just appeared out of nowhere and although they were humans they didn't exactly act in any way like them.

They were deemed isolationists because of their refusal to let anyone outside of their system in their territory. And no one saw a problem with that as this was their decision to make. But it was when they actually went out of their territory that caused others to raise questions about them.

They would come and go with some even saying they would disappear without a trace. Ever since Coruscant it was a rare sight to see or even hear of their presence in the galaxy. It was like they were ghosting them as all forms of communication with them was extremely limited. Even going as far as ignoring the repeated transmissions from the Republic with rumors that they even turned down joining the separatist.

This is what made Satine question herself about what they were doing here. She heard of the reports of a few openly shouting their disapproval of them because they had an unknown amount of beskar steel in their possession. But she didn't think they would do military action against them because of it. Multiple of their warships were sitting right outside their doors.

Did they perhaps see it as a threat? Did they wish to talk? Or was it for another reason? These were but only a few of the questions going in Satine's head as she tried to think of what to do. Turning them away looked impossible and letting a large number of them was not going to happen.

Even as Satine thought to herself an agreement between the two was already being made. One of them about how many of their people would be landing on their planet. And from the looks of it, it was going to be no more than ten.

Just as she was sure she was about to get a headache from all of this, one of her royal guards quickly walked into the room.

"Duchess Satine. The Zeridian fleet has agreed to our demands and are coming down with their shuttles as we speak." The guard quickly says.

"Escort them here and keep this matter as quiet as possible for now. The last thing we need is for panic to erupt." Satine says as before the guard bows and quickly leaves following her orders.

"Is this really a good idea, Duchess Satine? Having numerous Zeridians in our capital?"

"There's not much we can do. All we can hope is that they wish to speak like they said." Satine says.
