"Never knew that slimy bastard had a son. Had both the Republic and Separatist fighting over his approval like some dogs just to have access to his territory for their war effort. And in the end it looked as if the Republic won it. For people that speak of freedom and peace they sure are hypocrites. But this deal seemed to have made the Separatist desperate because I'm pretty sure they had their eyes on our side of the yard even more now. We had access to a hyperplane which was like a backdoor for both the Republic and Separatist. Both of them tried to make deals with us for it numerous times. Too bad that will never happen. And they seemed to know as well because a few of their fleets tried to sneak in like we wouldn't notice. Fucking bastards."

Near Zeridian territory

Five Paris-class heavy frigates and a single Valiant-class super-heavy cruiser were patrolling around an empty yet important hyperspace lane. To the Terrans it was seen as a back door to both the Republic and separatist. But to the Republic and Separatist it was seen as a way to effectively attack each other. But with the recent isolation of Zeridian going even further as to keep any ships from entering their space neither side could use it.

There were even a few attempts by both to enter but was forced to turn back by multiple of their ships. It was usually the separatist trying to gauge how well their defenses were. At first it was fighters and bombers. Then that became light cruisers. And pretty soon they started sending an entire fleet. But no one was able to slip by undetected and was forced to turn back.

And today wasn't going to be much of a difference. Only thing was that there was intel that a fleet was coming from the Republic's side this time.

Onboard the cruiser the commander of the ship had created a battle line aiming all of their MAC cannons right where they would arrive from.

Everyone was keeping close tabs on everything to make sure they didn't pass by or even get a chance to do so. Seconds later twelve venators exited out of hyperspace as they slowly moved forward. Even with their ships looking directly at them they made no attempt to leave.

The commander then opened their comms with them. "You are entering into Zerdierian space. Divert your course immediately or you will be fired upon." He warned.

"I'm afraid that won't be possible." A Jedi said back. "The separatist are planning to go through here with or without your approval this time. General Grievous is leading them. If he's with them we must stop whatever plan he is doing." As he was saying this the Terrans were calling for any nearby fleets to immediately arrive to their aid. They were outnumbered and victory would come at a high cost if they tried to attack them now. All he knew he could do was at least delay them for now and keep them from moving along. For now things hadn't escalated but if they tried to ignore them he was going to have too.

"That doesn't give you the right to enter into our territory. I won't say it again leave or be- Sir! Multiple ships inbound! It's the separatist!" Someone interrupted.

Seconds after he said that ten Munificent Frigates, four Recusant Destroyers, and a single Providence Class Carrier appeared out of hyperspace right behind them as they quickly moved towards them. The Terran patrol was now stuck between the two factions now.

General Grievous then appeared on screen as he stared them down. "Just as I was expecting. You Jedi fools really think I wasn't expecting your arrival. Your fleet along with these Zerdierians will be destroyed!" He then coughed loudly before going on. "Prepare to die!"

Right after Grievous finished his monologue his entire fleet opened fire on the Republic ships causing them to open fire as well. A few of the venators even let their fighters and bombers go out into battle and pretty soon the once dark space was now lit up with red and blue blasters. Unfortunately the Terran ships were directly in the line of fire of the two as numerous stray shots hit their ships as dozens of squadrons of clones and droids were dogfighting around them.
