"They said we were the lucky ones. That's what our caretakers told us in the orphanage I grew up at. But were we really lucky? We were struggling to lift ourselves up from the war that took our homes and families. In time things did get better but the horrors of war had twisted our minds beyond repair. The smell of burnt flesh and the screaming haunted me. Even now, it still haunts me. Some of the kids I knew couldn't take it and took their own life because of it. But those that did push through it weren't any better. Many of them were struggling in life, in jail, or either dead. Every corner we took was an everlasting means of struggle for us. So I tell myself again. Were we really the lucky ones?"

Zeridian
Three pelicans could be seen flying on the outskirts of Zeridians capital. Two of them had warhogs attached to them and each pelican was filled with soldiers.
In one of the pelicans a few soldiers could be seen looking out the back doors as they watched the bustling capital behind them get smaller and smaller. Ahead of them were only open fields with numerous woods and hills everywhere. It was a sight to behold as most of the planet still hadn't been touched by anyone but wildlife.
"Look at the view. Can never get enough of this." As the city behind was just about to go out of view the few rings around the planet was still there giving Zeridian an almost exotic look.
Those that weren't looking were either chatting with each other, checking over their equipment, or just straight up sleeping. But those that were looking at the view had their peace and quiet shattered by a loud yawn.
"I know this is all fun to y'all but I think this is boring." A tall dark skinned soldier stated. Beside him was his M122 light machine gun and he couldn't help but toss one of the mags in the air.
"You think everything is boring Xavier." A soldier stated nonchalantly.
"Am I lying? All these tasks feel like we are doing chores. Now they want us to find a drone that they lost. We didn't even do it and they're making us find it."
"It beats staying at base. They could've made us patrol for the entire day but they didn't."
But Xavier still wasn't liking this. Taking a bullet out of the mag he then started aiming it like it was a dart.
"Not really. It's almost exactly like patrolling but with more walking around involved. I want to shoot something. That's what I want."
"Then would you rather go against the banished then?" The soldier says, letting out a smile.
Almost instantly Xavier straightened up, forming a murderous smile. "Now you're talking. I know a thing or two about beating a brute's ass. It involves lots and lots of bullets if you know what I mean. Maybe even a few grenades." Xavier says letting out a small chuckle.
"Well I guess that may never happen because the Eternity has that one covered." The soldier states as Xavier lets out an irritated huff.
"Ok then, how about the flood?"
"Oh, hell no! I don't get paid enough to shoot those freaks!" Xavier says immediately.
Playing around with his bullet again he begins to toss it around looking as a few who heard him started laughing.
"I don't understand why you didn't become a helljumper if you're so keen on going in a battle."
"Heh. Maybe I should've. May have even been fun." He says tossing the bullet one last time before snatching it out the air.
"But tossing you fellas around is even more fun. Makes my day." He says relaxing a little. "But speaking of helljumpers. Robert. Why didn't you join? Heard they were begging you to join them."
