The Truth is Never What it Seems

Chapter 9

Dream POV

Its been a few weeks since the rest of the SMP found out the truth about me. They were still wary around me but they would include me into a lot of stuff now. Surprisingly Tommy never left my side. Always talking about some random things. If I'm being honest with myself it's actually kinda nice. Pretty soon I started to tell him stories of before Sapnap, George and I decided to make the SMP. From the days we would do manhunts, to the crazy ideas we had of using commands for fun. As of right now Tommy and I were down by the destroyed community house.

"Dream do you ever wish the wars never happened?" If I wasn't paying attention I probably would have missed the question from how softly Tommy spoke. I looked over at him to see him looking up at me. A soft sigh came from me and I smiled softly from behind my mask having not been comfortable enough to take it off just yet.

"Of course I do Tommy" I said in a soft voice "I never wanted any fights, and I definitely didn't want you or any of the other minors at the time to have to fight in those wars." Tommy looked away as I went  quiet, probably processing what I said. 

Suddenly I was tackled from behind in a hug as I hear a shout of "Sapnap that's not fair! You can't just hide behind Dream!" causing me to wheeze slightly.

"Sapnap what did you do piss off George now?" I asked the ravenette who looked up at me innocently.

"Nothing" He said in an innocent teasing voice to which you can hear a sound of protest as George came running at Sapnap who took off screaming leaving a confused and concerned Tommy and me wheezing in amusement. 

The others came over looking confused and Tommy just shrugged as Bad sighed and took off after them shouting "Seriously you muffinheads?!" only causing me to wheeze louder and have to sit down with the help of Nightmare who appeared looking quite amused about this.

My wheezing soon calmed down as I looked up seeing Sapnap and George looking proud of themselves. "Looks like we accomplished our mission George" Sapnap said turning to the shorter brunet who nodded.

Nightmare was standing next to me and held his hand out to help me stand up again and I gladly took it standing up. "Thanks guys" I said softly smiling under my mask. 

"Hey dream?" Tommy spoke up catching my attention and I turned to look at him giving him a small nod saying he had my attention. "When do you think you're gonna take off your mask?"

I stood surprised for a moment before I sighed reaching up and slowly unclipping the strap hearing everyone take a deep breath in of surprise as I took the mask off looking up at them. The others were staring in surprise before they all started chattering on how amazing I looked and wondering why I even wore the mask. A soft smile was on my face I listened to them and tried my best to answer all their questions. I may have the SMP's attention on me but I can't help but feel like we're being watched. But from who or what, I don't know. So for now I'll keep it to myself and stay on alert, I don't want to alarm the others in case this presence isn't threatening. Hopefully it's not threatening, but I guess we'll see.
