Chapter 14, Team Building

Hey, hey! How's everyone doing (I hope you're all doing well)

I know, a chapter two days early, unheard of.  Well, that would be because I will be without my computer all weekend. I'm going to Vermont for a weekend away with my friends.

"Right, a few rules before we go meet the team" Batman says in his gruff voice making Percy chuckle a little.

They stood in front of a strange tube-like device in the Batcave.

"Your identity needs to be kept a secret" he instructs holding a finger up. "They're going to be my teammates, how are they going to trust me if they don't know me" Percy asks interrupting.

"You can tell them very basic things but no personal details. We cannot have the identities of the rest of us to be revealed" Batman says narrowing his eyes. "Or I could just manipulate the mist so they will never connect the dots" Percy replies with a shrug.

Batman's personality breaks slightly as he returns to using his Bruce voice. "You can do that?" he asks surprised. "Yep, my friend Hazel is being taught by Hecate herself and showed me a few things" Percy replied happily.

"I suppose that would be fine then. As for the second thing, you're a part of a team now. I'm sure you have enough experience with that to understand the risks that come with being a part of a team" Bruce says slipping back into his Batman persona.

"I saved the world as a part of a group twice, even if I'm not leading this one, I still know what it's like" Percy replies with a slight glare. Did he really not have this much faith in her. "Right, then I guess we can go" Batman says ushering Nightwing and Red Robin through the tube.

Percy assumed that it was because of Hephaestus's blessing because she was able to instantly recognize the mechanics behind the machine. "We use the Zeta tubes as our main type of travel between the bases and different cities around the world" Batman explains typing something into the console.

"I spoke with Diana about it, and we agreed since I don't know how to treat a demigod properly, we would grant access to a few people from your camps" Batman adds on before a scanner pops out and scans them both.

Blinded by a flash of golden light, Percy rubs her eyes, opening them to find herself in some large room. "This is the Hanger. It's where we keep the Zeta tubes and the main generator for the mountain" Batman explains before walking away.

Making their way down a hallway they appear in the living room where a large group of teens was hanging out.

"Shut up, Kid Idiot" the blonde in a green outfit says to a boy in an orange and yellow speed-suit. She had remembered Leo explaining how they worked after making and improving Flash's suit.

"Hi! My name is M'gan, but you can just call me Megan, it's so nice to meet you" a red-haired, green-skinned girl says floating quickly over to Percy and shaking her hand quickly.

"It's nice to meet you too" Percy replies as her hand is still jerked up and down violently.

"I think she would rather keep that arm, Megan" a boy with tan skin and buzzed blonde hair replies. Percy of course recognized the boy, since he was Aquaman's apprentice.

"Oh, I'm sorry" the green-skinned girl says gasping and retracting her hands. "It's all good, no harm done" Percy replies with a warm smile allowing Megan to relax slightly.

"So, what's your name beautiful?" Kid flash asks sliding over.

"What he means, is what's your codename?" the blonde, Artemis asks smacking the speedster who whines loudly. "I go by Siren, but my real name is Percy Jackson" Percy answers removing her mask.
