"Well, do you think about me like that?"
"Think about you like what?"
"That I'm Caeser's dog?"
You decided to take a walk with Virgil after you returned Julia to her chambers to rest.
"Why would my opinion matter?"
You answer his question with another one while smiling at him innocently, yet your eyes held a teasing glint in them.
Before grabbing one of his hands in yours.
Virgil's face heats up a bit.
Good, you like to see them flustered.
After all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?
The only difference between you and Cleopatra is that she likes entertainment and sex.
While you only like entertainment without sexual intercourse.
You are saving your virginity for someone deserving, for your husband.
"You were their princess, so your opinion is placed in high regard" you shrug.
"I like your writing, but I don't like Octavian" you admit without any hesitation.
"Why not? He is blessed by the gods, he is the savior of Rome, all he is missing is a son to hold his name and continue his great legacy"
You chuckle at Virgil's clear admiration for his emperor, before letting go of his hand.
"Curse him and curse whoever continues his legacy with madness"
The light-haired poet frowns in confusion after you utter those words with a soft tone.
"Why are you spiteful, princess?"
"Am I?"
After this question, silence follows as you play with the flower in your hand, pulling out all its petals until it had no petals.
"Tell me, Virgil, are you married?"
"No" you giggle at the reply.
"Hmm... Even pretty men like you stay unmarried" you hum before throwing the rest of the flower away.
"You think I'm handsome?"
"No, I said 'Pretty' there is a difference, you have some femininity to..." you place two fingers under his chin.
"...your appearance"
Virgil leans into your touch, trying to kiss you, but you raise your two fingers to his lips to stop him from doing so.
"We can't kiss nor be intimate with each other"
The poet bites and moves away from you, yet his eyes are still on you.
"Why?"
"Because I fear that you might moan out Caeser's name in my bed" you tease him.
"And why would he moan out my name?"
Virgil watches your playful demure change as you turn to face the man you two were speaking about.
"Greetings, my emperor" Virgil bows his head in fear of Octavius having heard your conversation.
"Nothing, you must have misheard" you lie, clutching your dress.
"We shall speak later, as for now, you are dismissed, Virgil"
"As you wish, your highness"
The poet scurries away leaving you alone with Octavian.
"You truly are a whore" you sigh, and look away.
"I was trying to have fun, nothing more than a teasing game of words"
His eyes narrow slightly at your sentence, ready to choke you to death.
Octavian despises your inappropriate behavior, but he knows that you have not taken it far.
He had reports about you not having any type of lovers, only surrounding yourself with family and duty.
But, Octavian wants you for himself.
"I can provide you with more privileges" you raise an eyebrow at him.
"In exchange for what?"
His eyes scan your body from head to toe, making you feel exposed.
"You decide" you gulp.
"And if I don't want those privileges?" you inquire.
"Then I will take the ones you have been offered freely"
