Imagine having breakfast with your family, and out of nowhere, your son and husband start choking blood from their mouths.
That is exactly what happened to you.
The poison was clearly only meant for your husband, but Habi fed Ahmose out of his food playfully.
All the servants could hear for days were your screams and wails through the whole palace.
Your father tried to comfort you, but it was no use.
All you can remember are Ahmose's last words: 'It hurts so much; I'm scared; please hold me, Mama'.
There are times when you think of ending your life and the life of Narmer.
Is that why Cleopatra killed herself? Because she didn't want to see her children humiliated and killed?
Of course, there should be a huge funeral to be held where your son and husband are mummified and then left in their tombs for the afterlife.
However, you refused that ceremony, not wanting their bodies to be displayed in museums later on in the future if they were to be found.
So, you wanted them to be buried in the ground in a secret place.
But Augustus' didn't allow that.
He had someone kidnap you and Narmer and steal the dead body of Ahmose.
Octavian also ordered that Habi's body be thrown in the Nile River to get eaten by the crocodiles.
"Are you going to keep quiet the whole time?"
"You killed him."
"I did not kill our son; it's all your husband's fault."
Only staring at Octavian with hatred and disgust as he utters those words, you clutch your fists.
"You are a heartless greedy bastard"
Octavian firmly grasps your chin to keep you from averting your gaze.
"He was also my son, I grieve in my own way."
You chuckle in disbelief and disgust, before removing his hand away.
Without thinking, you spat in his face before cussing at him in your language 'Kosomak'
Octavian's eyes pierce your soul before slapping you hard across the face.
He then forces you on your stomach and holds your arms behind your back before getting on top of your back and leaning his face down until his lips reach your ear.
"I understand your sadness; therefore, I will lock you up until you recover."
"Narmer-"
"Our remaining son will be under good care."
You begin to weep at the humiliation Octavian seems to take pleasure in causing you.
"What will you do with Ahmose's body?"
"I shall cremate his body in an honourable ceremony."
You shook your head at the idea of your son's body turning into ashes.
"Please bury him; I don't want him to feel any more pain."
Octavian's features soften as he moves away from you to give you space.
"I will give you his ashes by tomorrow."
The emperor then departs, choosing not to listen to your heartbreaking cries.
With regard to the deceased son, Caeser is apathetic.
He already has one with you, and he is welcome to have more.
