You stare at your younger siblings with wide eyes, as you ran towards them and pull them into tight hugs, afraid that if you let go, you might never see them again.
Cleopatra Selene, Ptolemy Philadelphus, and Alexander Helios are your half-siblings from Mark Antony, seeing them brought tears to your eyes.
The fact that Octavian managed to find their whereabouts made you realize the huge danger Caeserion is going to face, once Caeser captures him.
It has been two weeks since your capture, and it was mostly spent on sea travel.
You would have gone crazy if Hagar wasn't by your side.
''Don't worry everything will be alright, no one will harm you'' Selene titles her head at you innocently.
''Is Mama here with you, are we going home now?'' Alexander asks with tears staining his cheeks.
The twins stare at you, awaiting your answer, while you still hold the young six-year-old Ptolemy in your embrace.
"Everything will be alright" you assure them once more, not wanting to tell them that Cleopatra and Mark are dead.
"Don't worry, they are in safe hands, I will raise them among my children"
Octavia the Younger is the sister to Octavian and was the wife of Mark Antony.
Yes, Mark Antony who went on and had an affair with your mother, casting his wife, Octavia, aside.
But, her words are filled with sincerity and her expression is kind, there's nothing to her that proves her to be vile as her brother.
You don't blame her if she hated you or your siblings, after all, your mother seduced Mark Antony.
"Thank you for your kindness, but my siblings will stay with me," you say, trying not to sound rude.
"The decision is not yours to make, those are the orders of Caeser"
You turn around slowly to face the man who has spoken those words.
He's a man of medium height with dark hair and green eyes, his brooding features make him appear intimidating.
"Marcus Agrippa, what are you doing here?" Julia inquires.
Marcus Agrippa? As in Octavian's right hand?
"Caesar sends you this" he hands her the scroll he has been holding.
"This is a declaration of you becoming the official guardian of the two young princes and princess," Agrippa says, before turning his gaze towards you.
"Caesar has requested to speak with the princess privately" you gulp.
"Request rejected" you reply, causing the Roman general to chuckle.
"I believe that you are in no position to object, princess (Y/n)"
Octavia notices how Marcus is examining you, his gaze filled with a familiar glint.
She has seen many men give this stare to the women they desire.
Octavia has to admit, you are a pretty little thing, especially with those eyes and hair.
"I don't want you to leave, I'm scared" Ptolemy whines, clutching to your dress
"Don't worry, your sister will come to see you" Octavia says, directing her words at you as an invitation.
However, you feel wary that Octavian has other planes.
"Yes...hopefully"
𓅓𓃠𓅓𓃠𓅓
"If you wish to survive and not suffer, obey Octavian and show him that you are worthy"
"Excuse me?"
You stutter out, looking at Agrippa as he guides you to Caeser's study chambers.
"Be rebellious like your mother, and Caeser won't hesitate to put your head on a spike"
"Thank you for the advice" you mumble, looking away from him and ahead of you.
The moment you reach the door, you take a deep breath as the guards announce your and Agrippa's arrival.
You enter after the general, trying to control your nervousness by barely glancing at Octavian, who is holding a papyrus paper in his hand.
"You can now leave us alone, Agrippa"
Marcus nods and leaves without uttering any more words.
"Your new clothes fit you, I must say, better than the old ones...it's less seducing"
You clutch your fists at how he is insulting your cultural outfit.
"I'm not a whore" you stress out.
Octavian smirks, walking towards you.
"I never said you were one, I only meant that roman clothes make you look virtuous unlike your mother"
You glare at him, letting out your anger.
"You are the last person to speak about virtue" you mock him.
The Roman Emperor's expression turns cold at your words.
"Are you still bitter about the fact that I'm going to parade you as my hostage?" you shook your head and huffed in mockery.
"You are known for stealing women from their husbands, everyone knows that you are a homewrecker" you taunt him.
At that moment, you forgot about Agrippa's advice, all you cared for avenging your mother.
"I believe your generals and consuls hide their wives whenever you are around"
This was the straw that broke the camel's back as Caeser grabs you by the neck.
"I got a letter of negotiation from your real father, he offered to give half his wealth to the Senate just to have you back"
Your eyes widen in shock at the news, not knowing that your father would go through such an extent.
Half of your father's wealth equals the income of seven countries combined.
Octavian sneers at you, his grasp tightening.
Deep down, your fear brings him a sense of power.
"But after this behavior, you are going nowhere"
