Pondering

When you made it back to class after getting changed, you placed your note on the teacher's desk and made your way to your seat.

You sighed as you took out your notebook and began to write down all the notes the teacher had written on the board like everyone else was doing. While taking the notes, you couldn't help but think back to your time in the nurse's office with Bakugo—his energy. You felt nothing but interest in his presence.

"There's no way that wild child is interested in me..."

You two have only met today. There was no way he could become interested that fast...but you couldn't help but wonder.

"Hey, y/n. Since class time is almost up, you can copy my notes whenever you get the chance." Izuku told you, his voice grabbing your attention. You turned to look at him, giving him a nod of appreciation.

"Thanks because I'm not getting anywhere in just five minutes." You chuckled, your tone displaying a sense of humor. The boy gave you a warm smile, looking down at his notes before he began to write something inside. On the other hand, Bakugo was giving him a mean side eye, though you nor Izuku noticed it.

Soon enough, class came to an end and it was now lunch hour. You gathered your things, putting everything into your bag before heading out of the classroom. At the moment, you were surprised that Katsuki hasn't said anything else to you. You weren't complaining either. From seeing how he was already, his mood was pretty unpredictable. At least on your behalf.

Anyways, within the next couple of minutes, you were making your way into the large cafeteria, your eyes wandering around the spacious area. "So many kids." You mumbled to yourself. Just as you were about to make your way to the lunch lines, someone stopped you before you could leave.

"Y/n right?" A tall young man with black hair and weird looking elbows asked you, Mina and the rest of the baku squad a short distance behind him. You raised your eyebrow in curiosity, wondering what he wanted. "Yeah? What's up?" You responded, now waiting for his reply.

"Wanna sit with me and the baku squad? I wouldn't- well, we wouldn't want you to sit alone or anything like that." He chuckled nervously while running his fingers through his hair. Of course, you could sense his energy, but because you were in a room with many other people, everyone's energy was mixing together. It was a weird sensation because you could barely tell whose energy belonged to who.

"Sure." You shrugged, a smile tugging at the corner of your lips when you noticed the guys happy expression. "C'mon, I don't feel like waiting in an even longer line." You soon added, giving him a playful smile as you began to levitate, floating your way to one of the lunch lines.

As you did, you turned around to look at him, seeing him and the baku squad following after you. "Have you told me your name yet?" You questioned him, not exactly remembering if you learned his name or not. Thinking about it, you kind of felt bad for not taking the time to learn all of your classmates names. But, that wasn't your fault. You'd learn all of them later.

"Hanta Sero is the name. The one and only, girly," he winked, giving you a charming smile, which made your stomach flutter just a bit.

"He's cute." You thought to yourself.

"So, y/n. Why'd you and your pops decide to settle in Japan?" Hanta suddenly asked, his expression showing genuine curiosity. You went quiet, thinking for a moment to really understand why your dad wanted to settle down here before you would answer.

Well, your mother's parents lived here and...it was also where your mother was buried. He wanted to stay close to her and her family. He loved your mother with his full heart and soul. Her passing greatly affects him. Even if he doesn't show it. Around you at least.
