If you confront me I'll hide,
I don't want to talk.
Please let it slide,
Will you settle for a walk?
The scars from today,
They won't go away.
If I tell you my secret,
I don't think you'll keep it.
You want an answer?
Be careful what you say.
The truth eats at you like cancer,
It's a dangerous game to play.
You're not ready to see them all,
Cut after cut.
They're sad and scary to look at,
I'm not just in a rut.
When you realize,
You'll run fast.
Then my heart will break,
Why can't it get a cast?
I must keep to myself,
You understand, don't you?
I'm sorry for lying,
But you can't know I'm so blue.
I'll see you tomorrow,
Don't try anything new.
Trust isn't something to borrow,
It is earned by you.

Almost a poet
PoetryI'm trying my luck at poetry so it'd be great to get some feedback. Keep in mind that these poems are strongly related to depression, anorexia, and things of that sort. If you are recovering, this story is not recommended for you.
