She heard about the princess in the tower,
She heard about the woman in distress,
So when she felt the sadness she dropped little hints,
But no prince or hero decided to press.
With the weight on her shoulders,
The darkness creeped into her mind,
It consumed everything in it's path,
And she left her sanity behind.
She wondered why no one would help,
She thought she wasn't broken enough,
So she let the darkness eat her heart,
And thought that now she was finally tough.
She wanted them to see past the smile,
She waited for her special boy,
She destroyed herself so someone would fix her,
But no one likes a broken toy.

PoetryI'm trying my luck at poetry so it'd be great to get some feedback. Keep in mind that these poems are strongly related to depression, anorexia, and things of that sort. If you are recovering, this story is not recommended for you.
