Beomgyu felt like letting out a breath that they didn't know how long or how much tension they had been holding.
Their soul yearned for a symphony of nature– When the wind frivolously whispered to them through swishing leaves and chirpy birds heralded the dawn. Pure fresh air with a touch of wood essence maneuvered every cell to stretch and get ready for a new dance. Sunshine caressed their cheek like a mother gently calling for their child–
"Wake up."
Beomgyu complied, eyes squinted to the binding light at first, before their entirety was engrossed in the greenery.
Familiar sense of calm from nature– might just be another dream, even so, even if it was the farthest from reality, they'd enjoyed it to the fullest. Because the fairy was home.
Beomgyu sat up immediately, not quite concerned about being wrapped in a cozy duvet in the first place as lured by the forest they were immersed in.
They skipped to the foliage, leaving the soft bed behind. "Hello, trees!" Hands on the back, Beomgyu looked up and greeted the oaks with a bow. Nature returned a mild breeze brushing their dark curly hair and Beomgyu smiled, knowing they had been heard.
Attention was averted when a furry paw nudged their bare foot, a brown rabbit had been observing them from the ground.
"Bunny!" Beomgyu exclaimed merrily but the animal leaped away, they chased after it. "Let's play, bunny!" Two shadows marched under sunny rays swaying between the leaves.
Crossing an ocean of woods, though not having the slightest idea of where the rabbit was heading to, Beomgyu laughed whole-heartedly on the way, carefree, because a little fun in the dream was harmless.
A herd of rabbits grazing the orchard grass awaited them. Beomgyu kneeled among them, savouring their chance to pet these skittish little things. They made up their mind on a grayish one, fingers carded through the thick fur. The rabbit purred, shutting its eyes, nuzzling against their palm, befriended the fairy. Its fluffiness caused their heart to flutter as much as their wings.
As soon as Beomgyu placed it on their lap, the rabbit settled comfortably and napped. They fondled it to their heart's content until a rustling behind the bushes was noticed.
Intrigued, Beomgyu perked up and crawled towards the source. As expected to be another bunny, they caught a glimpse of rosy brown strands.
There it is
Beomgyu reached for it with an innocent smile, ruffling its fur(?) with no hesitation if not the sensation was out of place. Those threads in their hand were soft yet lengthy, more like–
A pair of boba eyes matched theirs when the creature raised his head. The fairy blinked their eyes dumbly, processing the situation in which their fingers were diving in the hair of a human. "Ow–" Beomgyu bounced off instinctively with a yelp.
"S-Sorry! I thought you were one of them." The fairy quivered, lowering their head to hope for pardon.
Humans
The only species a fairy would never risk to disrespect. They invented tools and weapons, they possessed magic, within a few decades they reigned over the lands and seas. Humans challenged the broader part of their beings, all creatures learnt to fear their power.
Beomgyu shouldn't be sweating in a dream but anyways, they did, until a light chuckle emanated from the human guy, their pulse skipped a beat because it was cute and heartening. "You look much better now." The man sounded relieved when he stood on his feet with a mini shovel in his hand.
