"WwAT DO YOU MEAN NO ADONIS!?" Beomgyu went all feral on Milly at the beginning of the day, grabbing her little figure with both hands. Her tongue almost twisted when Beomgyu shook her up and down like he was some kind of bartender passionately blending a cocktail.
"THERE WAS NO ADONIS, YOU PABO! ONLY TAEHYUN!" She squealed at the top of her lungs, in hope of providing something useful that would get her off the spinning ride that she didn't ask for.
Milly was one of the patient, caring pixies so that's why she was assigned to accompany Beomgyu most of the time, though she would still act out of character when handling a drama queen.
"So it wasn't a dream?" Thankfully, Beomgyu let go of her when he reconfirmed. Waiting for her breath to return slowly, she stated as calmly as she could, "It wasn't a dream."
"It wasn't a dream. It wasn't a dream!" Beomgyu freaked out at the affirmation, slipping their head under a pillow as though he could bury himself together with the truth forever.
Realization hit them like a truck as memories of yesterday seeped into his mind– The head between their legs were of brown locks and those big boba pearl eyes could only be referred to one person they knew.
"What should I do!?" Beomgyu fussed, sitting up with legs crossed, hitting the pillow against the mattress in frustration. Milly flew towards them wearing a grin and whispered into their ear, "Maybe you can be his bride."
"Me? His bride?" The fairy raised their voice, eyes blinking dumbly, a blush spread over their cheeks after those words were processed. Oh well a marriage with Taehyun? How did Milly manage to skip all levels at once but what's worse– Beomgyu the hopeless romantic secretly enjoyed the idea. Their little fantasy of marrying a handsome mortal still lingered in their blood.
"Fairies don't usually go into heat unless they have spotted a potential mate." She winked at the fairy, making it even more palpable, "Somehow you must have found him attractive!"
Beomgyu's lips pulled into a pout because Milly was right. Putting the physical attraction aside, Taehyun was strong and all, aware of their needs and made them feel secure. However at the same time, Beomgyu found him vulnerable, with a secret that set him far from other humans. Even so, Taehyun loved the Ark family to his fullest by taking care of everyone, every small detail and never asking for return– which if you ask Boemgyu, was his greatest charm– a man of dedication.
"Taehyun is a man with lots of love. He just– doesn't know how to express it and maybe you can teach him." Pressing her palms together, Milly suggested with hope.

A piece of statistical summary was given to the biologist and he took the paper over anxiously, read it through twice before dumping it on the table with a sigh.
"Told you, their slick is aphrodisiac to human! It wasn't me-" Taehyun proclaimed with credence, as if the test result had justified his arousal towards the fairy on the day before.
"Yeh, of course it's science. Keep denying that like it'd make you feel better." Hueningkai snorted as he too glance over the report.
"What now?" Taehyun asked. His oblivion annoyed the pixie.
Hueningkai crossed his arms. "Seriously? I can see the fairy likes you and trusts you quite much. And don't forget you're the reason behind their heat, so why not give it a shot? Now that I have reminded you, if you remain a virgin over lifetime it's none of my fault."
Taehyun rolled his eyes to the back, clearly not taking his advice since his mind had already headed the wrong direction. "No one would love me– I can't even offer a dinner with candle lights, can't hold them in their sleep..." His head hung low. Things that he would do for his lover? Cut it, not in a million years when his curse was unnegotiable.
"Hey, buddy..." Hueningkai called for him but it seemed that he couldn't stop his master from spiraling.
Unspoken feelings bubbled up his chest, without a word, Taehyun discarded his lab goggles and rushed into the woods.
He decided to sit by a tree, his favorite spot for meditation. The mid-noon sunlight showered him through the shades of leaves and the wind soothing him by his skin. Every time he got overwhelmed by emotions or thoughts that didn't serve him well, he came by and closed his eyes, letting the sun melt away his pain, taking in some breaths filled by good energies around him– the animals and plants recharged him with their unconditional love.
Nature never judged him, they accepted him the way he was, but what about mankind? Not like Taehyun dared to imagine dating someone, only had them covered in goosebumps when he turned into a ferocious animal by the night. He was sure people would run far away from him once his secret was revealed so to prevent that, he never mingled with people.
That's where Beomgyu entered his life. A forest fairy was meant to be the bridge between humans and the benevolent nature so he wasn't surprised when Beomgyu showed him and his lion the compassion he longed for, that he also feared to lose. His heart was driving him towards the fairy while his ego said otherwise, afraid to disappoint the fairy, not able to provide a relationship that Beomgyu was looking for.
–He was overthinking again, that's not his purpose to turn inward. He focused on his breaths again, the symphony of inhabitants brought him to the present, brought him out of his head. Only when he finally stepped back and became alone with his spirit, their guidance dominated his thoughts "Perhaps those are not what they're looking for, Tyun. There is nothing you need to look for, you just have to allow it to flow through you, do not hold against it."
Oh, what a relief to be supported by the force behind everything.
"Boo–!"
Taehyun flinched at the loud voice, eyes opened wide, hair bounced in all directions. He narrowed his eyesight when the culprit was laughing hard, "Hehe, big kitty is a scaredy cat!"
By reflex, he headlocked Beomgyu by his biceps, "Funny, huh?"
The fairy stopped chortling because they choked on a spit, coughing out loud from the semi-violence, face turning blue with glossy eyes tinted red, that had Taehyun letting go of him in an instant.
"Are you okay!?" He stroked their back to help smooth their puffing. "I didn't mean to hurt you!" The man shouted in defense, blaming himself internally for not treating the fairy delicate enough. Beomgyu nodded with a reassuring smile to reduce some of his concerns.
Fortunately, after a while, Beomgyu was able to articulate again, "Akem– Just wanna as–akem– if you want some... blueberries?" Despite their breaths still caught in the middle of their words, Beomgyu asked him like a proud farmer.
Technically it was his berries, with Beomgyu being their guardian currently and Taehyun curious of their harvest.
By the time they visited the green house, both delighted to see the ocean of tiny green spheres had turned into radiant blue, sweet juicy fruits. Beomgyu hopped in excitement, skipping between rows quickly with the help of their wings to collect the berries. Taehyun watched in silence, simply appreciating the scene and the cuteness of the fairy.
After they gained a full basket, Beomgyu gifted him the prime berries. When a fairy shared their first crop, the action also symbolized gratitude.
Gratitude for what? Taehyun must be an idiot to raise such a question.
Taehyun thought Beomgyu would be shy or avoid him after the incident in the library but he was glad that nothing between them seemed to change. Beomgyu was still his sunshine, his little perky fairy who influenced him with bright energy.
He thanked the fairy and suggested to share the fruits with others since he couldn't finish them all on his own. Each of them carried a basket and proceeded to the daisy garden, where they didn't expect a picnic mat to be spread nicely on the trimmed grass, covered by Beomgyu's favorite sweets.
Taehyun and Beomgyu exchanged a confused look before Hueningkai appeared from thin air and announced, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a picnic date in the afternoon?"
