I think that possibly, maybe I'm falling for you
No one understands me quite like you do
Through all of the shadowy corners of me
I never knew just what it was
'Bout this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew

"We absolutely can, Finn!" I burst out with happiness as Finn hugged me in the gazebo we were standing at. As he calls it, our spot.

"You're so happy, Leila Raven, I like it!" Finn said as he touched my nose while I was still hugging him.

"This is so magical, Finn. Thank you for making it possible," I leaned into him.

He cupped my face and leaned toward me. OH MY GOD. Is this finally the moment? It was like slow motion.

Fireworks. There were fireworks all over the place. Butterflies. There were butterflies in my stomach. Chills. There were chills down my spine. Us, alone in the gazebo as more than friends but less than lovers. He was almost there to kiss me. The night was sparkling with the stars above, and crickets were heard around us.

This feels like a movie. This feels like a dream.

FINN'S POV

Fireworks. There were fireworks all over the place. Butterflies. There were butterflies in my stomach. Chills. There were chills down my spine. I really hope this one will work out. She made me feel the happiness I never got the chance to feel from other people... other than Sadie.

Oh yeah no, we didn't kiss. I was just looking and adoring her face because this has been the closest, we've ever been, face to face, since we met.

"So, I was thinking... wondering... if you maybe want to go for a coffee date for breakfast tomorrow morning?" I asked her and I could see her face was still red.

"I would love that!" She jumped as she put her hand around me.

"Pick you up at 7am tomorrow," I winked at her.

Her smile hasn't left her lips since she said yes to working it out. I really like to see the happy Leila Raven.

"Where are we going?" she asked as I looked up at the stars to ignore the question.

"That is something you shouldn't know and rather wait for tomorrow but for now, you need to rest—you had a long day today," I put my hands on her waist.

"For sure, I'd like that. Walk me home?" she made this cute little face that I couldn't resist saying yes to.

"Sure baby, I have no problem with that," I winked at her again and she just turned around to clean up the burger leftovers that we had.

"Calling you tonight was one of the best decisions I ever made," she said to me and to be honest, that makes me happy.

We walked out of the gazebo hand in hand and started walking home. Tomorrow morning, I pick her up again so that we can have an early morning breakfast together. I was thinking of not going to school too and just spending the rest of the day with her even if we kind of just did that today.

We were just clinging next to each other on the way home and not a moment after, Leila was standing on their front door.

"Uh-oh! Curfew!" she joked around.

"Good night, my girl," I said as I kissed her hand. I waited for her to walk inside the house to make sure she was safe before I left.

Walking home, I found myself smiling. In that moment, I was the happiest man on earth.
