There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

For years, I really felt like that breakfast had been the best breakfast to ever happen to me. I really enjoyed spending my time with Finn. I cannot stop the anxiety of seeing school people outside the campus, but I am thankful that Finn was there to comfort me and remove all the overthinking I have been doing. It's a plus that he's too handsome that makes me giggle and blush every damn time I look at him.

Later, he will finally meet mom and dad in the nicest way possible. The walking green flag has made a reservation before we even go home from breakfast. Now, I am only here to think of ways to make this day a day that I won't ever forget.

Later that night...

My dad was so nonchalant about this. He's so transparent in what I do. Introducing Finn will not be a problem. He thinks he's a great man and he talks about him all the time. Maybe because the first impression of bringing me home has made an impact. At the same time, Finn is such a gentleman, that's why my dad likes him.

It's me. I'm the problem.

I texted my mom and dad, telling them that we should meet at the Five Sails for dinner and that Finn will be there. Good thing they replied.

I put on a red sparkling dress that goes to the half of my thighs and shoes that matches it. My lips were so soft and red, my make-up was done. I was ready for the rest of the night. To see Finn again. With my parents.

The doorbell rang. I knew that it was going to be Finn.

"M-mom? Can you please open the door for me? That must be Finn," I said as I put on my dangling earrings.

"Sure!" she said, I heard the door open along with the voice of the Strange Stranger greeting my mom.

There's the voice of an angel.

FINN'S POV

"Good evening, Mrs. Danvers!" I greeted Leila's mom, who looks exactly like her.

"Oh, hi Finn! Nancy, please," she said as she smiled at me.

"I'm sorry, I forgot about that," I shook her hands which she gladly accepted.

"Come in, love. Have a seat while you wait for Leila," she opened the door, so I entered.

"Thank you so much! It's really cozy here— It feels like home," I sat on the couch.

"You're always welcome here, come if you want!" She went to the kitchen.

"Thank you for saying that! I'll keep that in mind," I smiled at Mrs. Danvers as she smiled back.

"Sure, I'll leave you there while I get ready for our dinner as well," she went upstairs.

As her footsteps descended, I heard someone's footsteps ascending.

"Finn," oh, I know that voice so well.

"Hi, Leila!" I looked back at the stairs only to see a beautiful lady in red.

"How long have you been in there?" she asked as she went down the stairs.

"I just got here, though." I smiled as I scooted over to the sofa so that she could sit down.
