Chapter 13: One & A Half Year Too Late

1 year and 6 months later...

LEILA RAVEN'S POV

I'm going to surprise my mom and dad for the Christmas because I know how they missed me.

I'm an only child and they must have been suffering from an empty nest syndrome since I went to college. They must have been missing me since I moved out after the graduation.

It was a surprise because I told them that I won't be able to go because of winter but I already booked a flight back home.

I am now at the airport and sat on the bench while I wait for boarding. I was scrolling through Instagram and saw some pictures of Percy that he's already back home, I think for Christmas too.

That's perfect! Even he doesn't know that I'm about to come home. I must say that I am very excited since nobody knows that I'm coming home.

I got a call from my mom.

"Hey darling, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing good, I'm doing some Christmas shopping since Celestine, and I will be celebrating Christmas with each other at our dorm. How about you and dad? How are things back home? I really miss you."

"We're okay. We've been missing you and wishing nonstop that we can be together again soon,"

"Mom, I just started college. I also got a job so I can finance myself to school, can you believe that?"

"Hmm, I never doubted you even once. What are you having for Christmas?"

"We don't know yet, but here we are doing Christmas shopping. How about you?"

"We've been thinking about spending the Christmas at home. You know, nothing serious, nothing new,"

"Yeah. You can do that, no one's stopping you and I think it's authentic if you celebrate Christmas at home. It's like a different feeling for when you're at my position. You should probably spend Christmas at home, we'll video call and we'll be fine! It's like celebrating Christmas together either way!"

"Yeah, I think we will do just that. How about you and Celestine? Haven't thought of coming home yet? Did you know that Percy is here?"

"He is? That's nice! Maybe you can invite them and spend the Christmas there!"

"Bright idea! I might do just that,"

"Anyways, mom I got to go. I'm going to the checkout now. I'll call you later, bye!"

"Bye baby!"

The call was done, and I just confirmed that Percy was back home and ensured that my parents will stay home for Christmas.

Perfect timing.

And speaking of perfect timing, someone just sat next to me.

And it is Finn fucking Wolfhard.

Together with his muse, Elsie Richter.

They must be going home as well and goddamn we might even be boarding the same flight.

I put my shades on and put on my hoodie just so I can pretend to be asleep. But I always knew that they wouldn't notice me because they were preoccupied, flirting with each other.

I sat first so no; I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to stay and sleep.

They were taking pictures together and Finn bit Elsie's cheeks and they took a picture of that. I think that goes into their Instagram.
