Chapter 10: She and Him Against Time

The lights are blinding, I woke up in a messy room where everyone in it is freaking out. Millie was trying to find her shades, Sadie was talking to Finn, Gaten and Caleb were trying to figure out how they're going to fit all their things in their luggage and Noah's on his phone, finding the plane ticket that was emailed to him. Everybody was busy and very awake.

"Leila, we need to go home. My things aren't packed yet and my flight is at 7:30pm. I accidentally ruined my packing last night trying to pick an outfit for SC and I need your help," Percy the dumbass said as soon as his eyes met mine.

"Where's Finn? What's happening?" I rubbed my eyes.

"I'm here!" He said while he worked on the luggage in front of him.

"Go on, Percy. I'll meet you downstairs," He gave Finn a death glare, and exited his room.

When Finn knew I was awake, he went back to bed and laid down with me.

"What a way to wake up. What's happening?"

"The Duffers called us last night. The shoot is set to start, and we need to report to Atlanta as soon as possible. We had flight tickets ready and that's where we are going now," Finn held my face as he leaned towards it. Touching the impurities of my face, I can feel my tears about to come out from my eyes.

"I thought the filming has been cancelled for the rest of the year... What time is the flight?" I looked straight to his eyes as he sighed.

"Yeah... 7:30pm," He closed his eyes as it turned red.

"Oh no," A tear slipped from my face.

We were building rapport. We were working for the betterment of our relationship and suddenly all of this happened in such a short period of time.

I don't want to let go of Finn.

Especially now that I am on the verge of falling in love all over again.

I'm losing both my best friend and my complicated more-than-friends-but-less-than-lovers guy today. In which I have tried so hard to get together.

*flashback*

In the club, with strobing lights and loud music, Percy and Finn had an encounter while ordering drinks.

"Hey, Finn!" Percy tapped Finn in the shoulder as soon as he approached him.

"Percy," Finn looked down, given the scenario that happened earlier.

"I'm sorry for the way I reacted earlier. It's just... as Leila's friend for years, I don't want her to feel that way. She told me how you two met and how she felt broken when she thought something was going on between you and Sadie, and it's just my instinct that kicked in when I first saw you," Finn listened to Percy as he explained his side to him.

"Nah, man... It was just a moment. Don't worry about it, and I'm sorry too," He finally looked up to him and he smiled just like the nice guy that he is.

"I hope first impression doesn't always mean the last," Percy offered to shake hands and Finn gladly accepted it.

"It doesn't, and by the way... you should come over and sleep with us tonight," Finn invited Percy just like what he told Leila earlier.

"Thanks man, and I'm very sorry for everything. I hope we'd make good friends," Percy again tapped Finn's shoulder as the two went on their separate ways.
