Emily's POV:

1 year later... -- 1st January 2023 - Emily's House

Hey there :) It's been a while.
I have a lot to catch you up on... ;)

Life's been good. 2022 was amazing. Best year of my life. Before you ask, "Emily, why are you back at your house?" i'll answer that question for you. I don't live with Tom and Z anymore...

Not all the time anyway. Since my Nan got better, my family were gonna sell her house and have her move in with my mum, Mia and I, but Tom bought the house from us to save us the money, and so we could keep the house we all grew up in.

Me and Grace came clean about me staying with Tom and Z when they dropped me home in March 2022. Mum almost fainted. Mia fainted for her.

My Mum wasn't mad that we had lied. She understood why we did it. She was just thankful i was safe and being looked after.

My step-mum woke up from the coma in April, and my dad stayed with them permanently until July, when she was able to take care of her daughter and herself on her own.

Dad tried to stop by the house to see if i was okay, but Tom, Daya and Gracie made sure he didn't see me. I'm not ready to face him yet. Not after he very abruptly disowned me.

School has gotten a lot more serious since starting Year 11. Revision for my GCSE's has been mad, and i have an English Literature paper on my birthday. May 24th. 2 hours 15 minutes. That's gonna suck.

My 15th Birthday was really fun. Daya, Tom and his brothers all came to my nan's house for it. Even Lizzie came. For such a big age gap, we're such good friends. She got us matching pendant necklaces, and she's made sure all of her recent acting roles have had the necklace on. Sam made my birthday cake and boy was it good. Best birthday cake i'd had in a while. A few days after my birthday i had a second party, with all of my friends. Lydia, Sam, Evie, all of them. We played laser tag and then we went bowling. I wish that day could've gone on forever. It was the best.

Christmas that year was even more fun. My mum's side of the family surprised us by coming all the way to London to spent Christmas with us. I had told my cousins everything that had happened with my Dad, and with Tom and they wanted to check in and make sure i was okay. They now stay at my nan's house when they come down, and they do that a lot more often now. We all pitched in cooking Christmas dinner, and we played games all night. In the middle of the chaos, Daya FaceTimed me. She and Tom had gone to Nikki's for Christmas again, and they wouldn't stop talking about how much they missed me. Apparently Tess is less energetic now me and Lila aren't staying with them.

Lila misses Tessa so much these days. We don't live all that far away, so we do occasionally go to their house so the dogs can play and i can talk with Tom and Daya.

Something happened that i forgot to mention...

I went to the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness premiere.

With Xochitl.

She invited me as her plus one, and oh my god it was so much fun. Tom and Z went as well so i stayed in my old room at their house the night before so i could meet Rachel and she could do everyone's makeup and hair for the event. Xochitl and I had so much fun choosing our outfits. I matched mine to Wanda's classic Civil War suit. It's my favourite of her eras so i had to have the red corset she wore. I'll never understand how she manages to fight in a corset. It's totally unrealistic but hey, it's Marvel.
