It was a rainy morning when Cedric dropped me off at the coffee shop, it was still half empty since it was 9 am on a Sunday. I sat on the second booth beside the window since that is where I would always sit after class. I placed my bag beside me and got my Wuthering Heights book, I was in chapter 10 when I saw him walk towards Ingrid. He was a head taller than me, brown eyes, black short recently cut hair and of course, he was wearing a blue short-sleeved flannel covering his white shirt, and adidas white shoes.

I sipped my glass of Iced Vanilla Latte, when I saw him glance at me, he looked interested in me but I shrugged it off and continued reading my book. I read through the chapter I was stuck in until I saw Cedric walking towards me. As soon as he was near me, I placed my book down and looked at him.

"What is it Cedric?" I asked him looking concerned

"I think it's time for us to go now." He said looking at his watch and back at me

I checked my phone and saw that it was 9:20 am. I placed my drink on my clear tumbler and said, "I guess it is time for us to go."

He nodded and walked out before me. I placed my book on my bag and headed to the front door with him and walked to the car. I looked back at the cafe window and saw the guy walking to the seat in front of me before we finally drove off. I sighed and checked my phone to see Charlie's message.

C: Hey Amelia! The girls and I are already at Ingrid's. Are you coming?

I looked at the road and back at her message,

A: Hey Charlie! I'll be there in a few. Just left the coffee shop.

I closed my phone and watched the cars in front of me. After a few minutes, we finally parked at the bakery's parking lot. Cedric parked across from the entrance, I opened the door and walked in. As soon as I walked in, I saw Charlie and the girls near the window. I waved at Ingrid who was dealing with some customer and sat across from Bella and in between Charlie and Rosalie.

"Hey girl!" Charlie said standing up to greet me

"Hi love." I gave her a half hug before saying to everyone

Bella and Rosalie gave me a smile and continued eating their mango pudding. I placed my bag down and started eating a piece of my cornish pasty.

"So what happened to you and Jaimie?" Bella asked me before taking a sip of her mango juice

"We broke up." I said looking at her and back at the other girls who were shocked

"Why did you guys break up?" Rosalia asked me with a concerned look on her face

"Let's just say I caught him cheating on me." I said looking at the girls and back at my half eaten pasty

"That jerk!" Bella said putting her glass down aggressively

"He did not deserve you." Rosalia said extending her hand to me

"You deserve better." Charlie said smiling at me

"Thank you girls but it's done now." I said looking down at my drink

Charlie sighed, Bella and Rosalia both went to the bathroom, while I was scanning the room, until I saw him. He was talking to Ingrid, she looked at me and back at him. I wonder what they were talking about, he paid for something and headed this way. I looked down at my plate that was filled with cornish pasty crumbs. He went to the tablet behind me, I saw that the my chair was blocking the chair so I moved it forward.

"Thank you." He said softly as he sat on the chair beside me

"You're welcome." I said before sipping my drink

I watched Bella and Rosalia walk back to the table while Charlie was giving me the side eye.

"What?" I whispered to her

"He's cute." Charlie whispered back and winked at me

I blushed a bit before I saw Ingrid holding a tray of donuts and a drink. She smiled at the guy and handed him his box of donuts and his drink.

"Thank you Ingrid." He said as she placed them slowly on his table

"No problem. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you." She said smiling at him and walking back to the counter.

"Hey. How do you know Ingrid?" I asked him while I waited for him to finish drinking

He placed his drink down and shifted his body so he was now facing the table across from me.

"She and I grew up in the same neighborhood." He said looking at me and back at my friends who was listening at us

"Funny. It's weird how I never seen you around." I said looking at him up and down

"I mean. I come here a lot but it's weird that I never saw you here." He said realizing that he sounded concerned

"Why? Do you like me?" I said confidently, I looked at my friends who were giggling and back at him.

"Ugh!! As if." He said looking at me annoyingly

"I think you're lying." I said in a serious tone

"Why do you say that I'm lying?" He said angrily

"Because, I saw you at the cafe earlier and you're here now." I said crossing my arms

"It's called coincidence darling." He said winking at me

"Agh. Call it coincidence or whatever but I'm not dealing with this. Have a good day!" I said standing up and cuing my friends to go to the door

"Whatever you say darling. Have a good day too." He said giggling

I stood up, collected my stuff and walked towards my friends who were by the door. I looked back at him annoyed and saw that he waved "bye" at me. As I was walking out, I saw Simon walking towards me with his band t-shirt and ripped jeans.

"What do you want Simon?" I said crossing my arms and saw my friends going to the side

"I'm sorry Amelia. Can we please talk?" He asked me while touching my hand

I moved his hand away from me and walked towards my friends

"Please Amelia?" He said begging

"Talk about what Simon? The fact that you cheated on me?" I said holding my ground

"I'm sorry." He said looking at me and almost touching my shoulder

"Ewwww. Get away from me Simon!" I said pushing him away

"Why? Can't you just let me explain?" He said

"Hey! She said to get away from her." The guy said throwing his cigarette bud on the garbage and walking towards us

He walked in front of me and grabbed his arm

"Who are you mate?" Jaimie asked while holding his arm and shaking it

"Her boyfriend." He said wrapping his arm around me
