"Amelia?" Eric said checking to see if it was really me 

"Yes?" I replied questionably unsure if he would recognize me 

"Wow! It's so good to see you again." He said happily 

"How have you been?" I asked him 

"It's been fine. I've been doing a part time job here." He said looking around the restaurant 

"That's good. How's Anne and Kylene?" I asked him sounding interested to see how his sisters are doing 

"They're fine. Anne got into Oxford while Kylene is starting elementary." He said proud of his sisters' accomplishments 

"And your mom?" I asked him, wondering how her business is doing 

"She's fine. She actually bought a house in Edinburgh so I'm planning to apply in University there." He said sounding proud of your mom 

"That's great news Eric." I said smiling at him 

"I have to go but I'll see you in school yea?" He said happily

"You're going to MPHS?" I asked him with a shocked look on my face

"Yup!" He said enthusiastically, "I transferred because it's close to Kylene's school." 

"I guess i'll see you there." I said smiling at him and knowing I'll get to spend more time with him 

"Yup!" He said grinning flirtingly, his cute  brown eyes still get to me, he was my childhood crush. 

He continued cleaning while Hunter went back to the table. 

"What did I miss?" She said whispering towards me because I was watching him intently 

He walked away with plates on hand, I looked over to Hunter, thinking of what she said 

"Oh uhm. Eric and I were just talking." 

"Talking about what?" Sophie said sitting beside me 

"School." I said, "He's joining us at MPHS." 

"He's also a junior?" She asked me shockingly 

"Yup. Apparently, he's transferring because his younger sister's school is a few minutes away from ours." I said looking forward to hanging out with him more often 

"That's great news Mel." She said being happy for me 

"What's the great news?" Kimberly said walking towards the booth and sitting next to Hunter 

"Apparently that cute waiter of ours is moving to our school." Sophie said to Kimberly 

"Wow! A new student after 2 years. I wonder what changed the headmaster's mind." She said looking at him and back at us 

"Wait. Isn't our headmaster your dad?" Hunter asked reminding her why she got accepted in the most expensive private school in Manchester 

"Yes but we act like we don't know each other and then he acts like a chill dad at home." She said giggling at their whole father daughter dynamic 

"Do you ladies want any dessert?" Eric asked surprising us with his presence 

"Uhm. I think I'm good." I said looking at him 

"Okay." He said in a caring tone,  "How about you ladies?" looking at the ladies 

"I think we should get the cheque." Hunter said filling in the awkward tension 

"Sure. Do you ladies want separate cheques?" He asked looking at me and back at them 

"Yes, that should be fine." Sophie said
