"I thought she was your sister bro." I said sounding like I was dumb 

"Sister?" Chris asked laughing 

"Yes because you guys argue like siblings." I said looking at Chris 

"That's because we live in the same apartment building, so we hang out almost every day." He explained 

"But babe don't you find it weird that Amelia's ex cheated on her with your cousin?" Maggie asked 

"I mean I guess I found it kind of weird because she doesn't like guys like him." 

"Or maybe, her type changed and decided to kiss the most wanted guy in school." I said jokingly 

"No offense but he isn't that popular." Tessa said meanly 

"I mean whatever reason Melissa had, I'm sure they won't show up at the party together." Chris said 

"Sooooo. Are we still inviting Amelia?" Tyler asked looking at me and back at the others 

"I mean. I'm okay with it." I said

"Did something happen between you two?" Tessa asked looking at me and crossing her arm 

"Dude! I heard that someone saved her in Ingrid's bakeshop earlier." Tyler said looking at me 

"How did you know about that?" I asked looking at him curiously 

"People gossip and it turns out you were the one who saved her." Tyler said looking at me with a shocked look on his face 

"What were you doing in Ingrid's Bakeshop?" Maggie asked 

"The last time you went there was with-." Tessa said halfway 

"Was with Vanessa?" I said looking at them 

"Ingrid's bakeshop was your date place." Chris said 

"It was but guys we broke up last year. I moved on." I said convincingly 

"That's good to hear bro anyways back to what you were doing there." Chris said turning back the conversation to what I was doing there 

"I was smoking and that's when I saw her with her ex." 

"And then?" Maggie asked sounding very interested in what happened 

"She was telling him to leave her alone and when he kept pushing it. I decided to chime in." 

"What did you do then?" Tessa asked 

"I pretended to be her boyfriend." I said 

"How did that go?" Tyler asked 

"Let's just say it made her ex really mad and sad at the same time." I said sounding a bit cocky 

"Damnnnn. I bet her friends were all over you." Chris said laughing 

"They actually weren't but they did give me flirty eyes." I said confidently 

"You're eye candy." Maggie said flirtingly 

"Thanks Maggie." 

"What did Amelia do?" Tessa asked 

"She went along with it and she just thanked me after." I said 

"Did you ask for her number?" Maggie asked 

"No. I mean I don't like her like that and she doesn't like me that way too." 

"Huh. A girl that isn't into you. Impressive." Chris said 

"So is she? Or is she not invited?" Tyler asked
