My heart ached for a bit, hearing that made me realize that we were mean't to be, seeing her stand there with tears in her eyes. I still loved her, all I wanted to was kiss her and caress her face but after what she did, I couldn't. 

I looked down, cleared my throat and said, "Why don't you tell your dad that you wanna stay here?" 

"Wha-What?" She said looking at me 

"I mean. It wouldn't be fair to you to move with him since you just moved back here." I said explaining how it's not sustainable for her to move especially since she just moved back 

"I know that but he was such a good dad towards me and Ethan." She said remembering the good times she and brother had with their dad 

"Don't you think it's time for you to do what's right for you? I mean I think he suggested because he wants you to make the right decision." I said knowing that she'll make the right decision for herself 

She looked at me and down at the floor, thinking about her decision, she sighed and said, "I'll tell him that I can just visit him over winter break." 

I smiled at her decision even if it felt selfish thinking about how I can spend more time with her. I lead her back to the table and we sat down. We continued eating our food and saw students walking towards the tables across from us. 

"Looks like the dean accepted many freshmen this semester?" She said noticing them sitting in groups 

"Yup! I mean it's funny how we're seniors now." I said feeling nostalgic because we're leaving this place in a few months 

"Yeah!" she said, "Which reminds me, I have to speak with the headmaster in a few minutes." 

"Oh yeah! You told me that earlier." I said checking my phone and continuing to eat my food 

"Wanna walk me to his office?' She asked almost finishing her salad 

I looked at her 

We both finished our food, cleaned up and threw our containers in the recycling bins,  we were talking towards the entrance door and headed to the main wing. We walked towards the headmaster's office which was located near the academics office. I opened the door for her and saw Ms.Linsey typing away in her computer. 

I closed the door behind me, and walked towards Ms. Linsey, she was in her early 30s. She was wearing a white polka dot dress with her blonde hair in a ponytail. I looked at Cass who went beside me. 

"Hi ms. Linsey." I said getting her attention 

"Hello Jake." She said looking up at me, "lovely seeing you." 

"It's lovely seeing you as well." I said smiling at her 

"How may I help you?" She asked looking at me and back at Cass

"I'm here to see Mr. Birkinson." Cass said confidently 

"Sure!", she said, "Have a seat." 

"Okay Ms. Linsey." She said walking towards the empty seat beside the door 

I sat beside her and watched Ms Linsey go into the right door where Mr. Birkinson is located.  A few minutes came by, and the door to Mr. Birkson's opened. 

"You may go in now." Mrs. Linsey said looking at Cass

 "Okay." Cass said looking at her and back at me 

"I'll be right here." I said assuringly

She nodded and smiled before standing up and walking towards his office. She looked confident, her brown wavy hair was tied in a bun and she took a sigh before opening the door. She looked back at me quickly and I gave her a thumbs up, she finally went in and closed the door behind her.
