CHAPTER TEN: Is Kim Mingyu Making Progress?

MONDAY

"So what were we thinking? Something upbeat? Mrs. Park seems to always enjoy music she can dance to" The suggestion was given by a familiar face: Lee Chan. Many knew him because of his ability to actually use teamwork on the soccer field, and not just hog the ball like some people. (Cough cough Mingyu cough.) He also took pride in being a part of the student council; once trying to recruit Wonwoo when taking one glance at his flawless grades and seeing how levelheaded he was when it came to actively making decisions every now and again. Unfortunately the bespectacled male declined the offer, explaining that he didn't need the extra stress that came with attending university. Even though it may have been a slight lie, due to him much rather wanting to spend his free time playing video games, than sitting in a circle with others doing nothing but making small changes to their campus. Wonwoo's pretty sure no one took notice to the way students were given more parking space than facility.

But even though Wonwoo could say that he remembers Chan from his activeness around school, he could also say it's because they were acquaintances. They haven't known each other for long, and it's not like they hang-out on a regular, but there's been instances where they've casually talked. It mostly had to do with the fact that he was teammates with Junhui, or managed to recruit Seungkwan instead, but every now and again if they passed each other in the halls, they'd wave and smile. Maybe even stop to briefly ask one another about how their week's been.

"I say we do something along the lines of hip-hop" Soonyoung interjects. He did some kind of arm wave, before popping his chest.

"Why? So you can be a show off?" Mingyu crosses his arms over his chest, slouching in his seat. Eyes watched the way his long legs had spread wide, almost bumping the knee of a quiet Taeyeob. And eyes watched as a quiet Taeyeob shifted in his seat, ears tinting red, and brown irises avoiding any contact with the large form that was Kim Mingyu. He focused his sight on his pale hands that picked at one another. "It's not like there's going to be a large audience. But I guess you can," Mingyu copied Soonyoung's previous dance moves. "In front of the select few girls in our class. I mean someone eventually has to like you."

Some of the group chuckled, and Soonyoung punched his friend in the arm before sulking in his seat.

"I don't think we should do something fast pace" Another familiar face: Lee Jihoon, speaks blandly. Now he wasn't someone Wonwoo spoke with like he did with Chan, but he was recognizable from the rumors that sparked every now again. Something about him being transferred mid-semester within his second year of college, because he was kicked out of his previous school for almost killing another student. Which is absolutely insane, because just look at Jihoon's cute and squish-able face. While it wasn't often that he was seen smiling, it was guaranteed that a double rainbow would appear once he does. Besides the rumors (that are always been told to be false by Jihoon himself, yet never easing the minds of others because he hasn't given the real explanation as to why he switched academies), he was also best friends with Choi Seungcheol. An immediate shot to the top of popularity.
