Chapter 6
Like every morning, Mina grabs her jacket and bag before putting on her hiking boots. As usual, Taehyung is sitting on the couch, watching a drama he's interested in.
"Have fun," He mumbles as Mina's hand grasps the doorknob, about to leave. Something about his tone suggests to Mina that he overheard her conversation last night.
She wasn't exactly trying to hide Jung Kook, but after he attacked Taehyung, she didn't want to alert him to his presence.
Jung Kook and Mina spent a few hours exchanging small conversations. So far, she still knows very little about him, but he knows a little too much about her.
He asked her about her family, what she does for a living, and her friends. All she got out of him was that he is almost 1000 years old and lives on the mountain. Oh, and that he's a Gumiho, one of the most powerful humanoid mystical beings in Asia.
Today, she has decided to see if she can find a way into his home, something no one has been able to do. She's going to convince Yoongi that Jung Kook isn't bad, just misunderstood.
Mina sighs, opening the door. Instead of being beside the door, Yoongi is standing at the end of the driveway, Jimin by his side.
"Morning!" Jimin calls out, waving excitedly.
"Come on," Yoongi rolls his eyes, starting down their usual path.
"Wait!" Mina calls out. Yoongi stops and waits for Mina and Jimin to reach him.
"What's up?" Jimin asks.
"I want to try something today," Mina smiles, filled with nervous excitement, "Follow me,"
"What are we doing?" Yoongi asks as they enter the forest.
"Last night," Mina pauses, biting her lip, "I met Jung Kook,"
"WHAT?" Jimin and Yoongi stop walking, glaring at her.
"What do you mean by met him?" Yoongi demands, "Did he come here?"
"He did," Mina folds her arms, "But I learnt a lot about him,"
"Like what?" Jimin asks.
"Well, he's 1000 years old and lives at the top of the mountain,"
"1000 years old?" Jimin's mouth drops open.
"What else?" Yoongi steps closer to Mina, "What is he?"
"He's... a Gumiho," Mina says quietly.
Yoongi and Jimin's eyes go wide as if they weren't expecting that.
"A Gumiho?" Jimin repeats before nodding to himself, "That makes a lot of sense,"
"Right?" Mina laughs, "Anyway, he's not dangerous, he's just been alone for 500 years,"
"He hurt Taehyung and killed many townsfolk," Yoongi snaps, "But he isn't dangerous?"
