Chapter 4

"I said..." Mina takes a deep breath, "Who are you?"

The man turns to look at her. He has big crimson eyes and a sexy smirk. Mina blushes as her heart starts beating faster. She clutches the gun by her side more tightly, ignoring her heart. His dark hair hangs over one of his eyes. He appears calm, considering he's just been caught in the act. He is wearing traditional Korean attire as if he just stepped out of a historical drama, or a rift in time.

"Cho Mina..." The man sighs. Mina's heart beats faster as fear creeps up on her. She has never seen a vampire with red eyes unless they have drunk human blood. But that's only momentary before their eyes turn black. What is he?

"How do you know my name?" Mina raises the gun in front of her, anger coming to her defense.

"I know a lot about you," He smirks as he slowly dawdles to the bed. He whips the blanket off, revealing a lump of Mina's clothes. He sighs, "I should have known you're breathing was too erratic to be sleeping. But, I was too engrossed in what I was doing,"

"Why are you here?" Mina asks, "Be warned, I'm a vampire hunter!"

"I know what you are, Mina," He mumbles darkly. He looks up at her, a strange yet dark look in his eyes, "But I am no vampire,"

"Mina? Are you okay?"

Mina's eyes go wide as Taehyung slowly steps into the room, turning the light on. He looks confused yet concerned as he peers around. He spots the man standing by Mina's bed. He looks back at Mina's raised gun and his jaw drops. He freezes up. Mina can see his brain working as he tries to decide on 'fight' or 'flight'. But he never got to decide.

Suddenly, moving too fast to be humanly possible, the man sprints around the bed, picks Taehyung up by his neck, and pins him to the wall beside the door.

Mina gasps as all this flashes past in a millisecond.

"Who are you?" The man mumbles before Taehyung can even register what has happened.

"Kim Taehyung..." Mina mumbles, still getting over the shock of the man's movement.

The man leans in close to Taehyung, taking a big whiff of his neck.

"Vampire... filthy blood," The man growls, "Who are you?"

As Mina comes to her sense, she rushes forward, holding her gun more firmly in her outstretched hands.

"Put him down!" Mina yells, shaking a little as she stares at the side of the man's head. He peers at her, frowning slightly.

"Don't make me fucking shoot you!" She screams, clocking a bullet into place. The man clenches his jaw as he lets Taehyung fall to the ground. He turns to Mina, glaring down at her in confusion.

"Now answer my goddamn questions!" She yells, stepping closer so he can't touch Taehyung again, "Who the hell are you?"

The man sighs, lowering his gaze. Mina finds herself relaxing immediately. She hadn't even realized it was his eyes on her that was increasing her anxiety so much.

"My name..." The man twitches, before looking into her eyes again, "Is Jeon Jung Kook,"

Suddenly, he steps forward, reaching out for her. She whimpers, losing all control of her basic instincts as a vampire hunter as she stumbles away, shaking slightly.

"Remember that," He whispers near her ear. Mina closes her eyes as she waits for him to grab her by the neck. After a moment, the tension leaves her again. She looks up to find the room empty, except for Taehyung, gasping as he clutches his neck.
