A month later...

"Jungkook, slow down... Jungkook-JUNGKOOK SLOW DOWN!"

Jungkook stops hitting the punching bag and looks over at Mina expectantly. She looks more exhausted than he is, yet it was her idea to come to the gym.

Jungkook has been studying to become a vampire hunter for over a month now. He has been focusing on the laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and history. Yet, Mina still insists that he comes to the gym to at least practice his physical skills as well. His powers and 1000 years of physical training mean that he already meets the physical criteria, but Mina still wants him to train.

They have been at this pace for about an hour, which is very good for Mina. She has been attending with Jungkook for a week so far and hasn't had any trauma responses to the environment. Maybe Yoongi shouldering all the pain was a good idea?

"How are you feeling?" Jungkook asks cautiously. Mina pants for a moment before glaring up at him.

"How are you not tired yet?" Mina asks, "You have been hitting that thing for ages!"

"I know," Jungkook shrugs, "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," Mina sighs, "I usually last longer than this, but keeping up with you is too much,"

"I'm sorry," Jungkook chuckles, "Let's head home and do some studying. It's getting late anyway,"

"Alright," Mina smirks, "I'll quiz you,"

Jungkook and Mina head to the separate showers, get cleaned up, and leave the building, feeling refreshed and exhausted.

On the way home, Mina quizzes Jungkook on everything he should know, with Jungkook occasionally correcting Mina.

"No, I am fairly certain you can't arrest a random vampire. It has to be one of the vampires you were told to retrieve,"

"Mina," Jungkook chuckles, "I only read it last night! If a hunter spots a vampire with obvious signs of turning, then you are to intervene!"

"How long have I been a hunter?" Mina asks, folding her arms.

"How long has it been since you've actually read the legislation? Years?" Jungkook smirks, "I read it last night,"

"You can't just arrest random vampires! It goes against segregation and vampire rights!"

"Mina, you can arrest any vampire that is showing any signs of turning!"

"Urgh!" Mina opens her phone and starts looking up the legislation.

Jungkook waits patiently, watching her with a playful smirk.

"See! The rights of the vampire! Ha!" Mina shows Jungkook the vampire rights website.

"Hmmm," Jungkook pulls out his phone and shows Mina the section of the legislation he was reading the night before, "And what about this?"

"Yeah... well... well it has to be super obvious!" Mina snaps, frowning slightly, "You can't just arrest a vampire because they look suspicious!"

"I didn't say that" Jungkook chuckles, "I said that you can arrest a vampire other than one of the ones you have been assigned to arrest!"

"Yeah, yeah – fine! You were right!" Mina pouts, moving away from Jungkook. Jungkook continues chuckling, reaching for her hand. As soon as he grasps her hand, she gives him a small smile.

"See? You know your stuff. Why don't you sign up properly?" Mina asks curiously.

"Well," Jungkook starts swinging their arms between them happily, "I didn't want to mess up. So rather than doing a traineeship like Jimin, I wanted to study before going out onto the field, you know?"
