Chapter 32
"Good morning, baby," Mina grins and squints up at the radiating face of Jungkook at the sound of his husky morning voice. He looks so beautiful as if he is emitting an intoxicating energy that can only be described as paradise. He has never appeared so intensely attractive to Mina before. Is it because she thought he was going to die? Or is it simply the fact that after spending so many hours watching over his pale, corpse-looking body the day before, his natural glow is so much more appealing?
"Good morning," Mina grins, "Sleep well?"
"I think so," Jungkook frowns, staring down at his hands, "I feel... light..."
"Do you think it worked?" Mina asks, sitting up in the bed.
Jungkook nods slowly, still staring at his hand. Suddenly, he springs forward, beaming at her.
"I feel light... because it's gone," He declares, "The dark part is gone!"
"The dark part?" Mina asks confused.
"Well," Jungkook sighs, "Before, I'd have this feeling of impending doom, isolation, and stuff... I essentially led my life filled with dark emotions. That's because of the demonic side of me. You see because Gumihos are summoned by humans to do something for them, I came from somewhere dark. This... process... has removed it. Now I'm just... me,"
Still feeling quite confused, Mina smiles.
"Well, I'm glad you feel better," She leans forward and plants a small kiss on his lips. Jungkook blushes and looks away, making Mina giggle.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
Mina stands up and moves towards the bedroom door, a little sad that their morning bliss is being interrupted.
"Yes?" She asks, opening the door to reveal Namjoon. He looks tired and wary.
"Good morning," He smiles, "How are we feeling today?" He looks over her shoulder to see a radiating man sitting up in bed, cheeks rosy and beaming drunkenly.
"Good morning!" Jungkook jumps out of bed and rushes over, "How are you this morning?"
"I'm good," Namjoon laughs, "I take it there has been a change?"
"I believe so," Jungkook grins, "Are we going to find out today?"
"That's the plan," Namjoon replies, "I thought I'd come and check on the two of you instead of sending a morning message. The test is in an hour, so I suggest you both get up and have some breakfast,"
Mina looks past Namjoon to see housekeeping has brought breakfast in already.
"Oh, that looks delicious," Mina's stomach grumbles, "But... is meat okay now?"
"I hope so," Mina looks to Jungkook who is salivating, "That bacon looks wonderful,"
Namjoon and Mina chuckle, allowing Jungkook to move past them to the dining table.
