Week one (Atsumus POV)

He was working pretty much all week. But it felt just empty when he got home, it used to just be him and Cheddar but now Sakusas not there it feels lonely.
He tried to occupy himself by talking to Hinata and some of his other friends, but it was no use and he ended up texting Sakusa.

"Omi"

He was left on read for awhile.

"Atsumu you know we are trying to stay separated for awhile"

"I know but"

He didn't text again, but Sakusa text once more.

"I love you Atsumu"

Atsumu felt lonely and a bit sad for the next few days, but he pushed it aside and started going out with Cheddar more and seeing some of his other friends more.

He went over to Osamus house to tell him what had been happening, he was so nervous his hands were shaky.

"Hi Atsumu"

"Hi Samu" They have eachother a quick hug before they sat down on the sofa.

"So how come you called me?" Atsumu was fidgeting with the sleeves of his jumper.

"Okay so this is really bad and really awkward but I'm just gonna say it because your my brother and you should know so Uhm" he started speaking very quickly.

"So I started to feel that everyone hated me like how I felt when we were younger but it was worse and then I started working overtime every day at work and Sakusa was busy so we were kind of distant and then it all got to much and I started burning my arms and I'm in therapy now even though I don't really think it's going to help but yeah and me and Sakusa are separated for like a month because that's what my herbalist said could help" he paused to breath for a second.
"So, how are things with you?" Atsumu had teary eyes but he didn't cry. He didn't want to look so weak in front of Osamu.
Osamu threw his arms around Atsumu and hugged him tight.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you Atsumu. I'm sorry. I'm sorry"

"It's okay Samu, it wasn't your fault"

"I know but. I could've been there for you. I could've-"

"Osamu. It's not your fault, it's mine"

"How bad?..was it?" Osamu pulled away from Atsumu as he pulled his sleeve up to his shoulder. Showing the mass amounts of burn scars.

"Holy shit Atsumu" They talked for awhile then Atsumu left and went home.

Week two (Sakusas POV)

'So shittyyy..' He was quite bored without Atsumus constant loud presence, his high energy that makes him practically bounce of the walls.

His mother called him and he quickly sat at his desk and leaned his phone against a shelf and was typing random keys on his laptop.

"Hello Sakusa"

"Hi mom, I'm a bit busy"

"Yes, well we're having a family dinner in two weeks, blue tie. It's at eight, if your late-"

"Yes, yes, you'll tear my limbs"

"Don't interrupt me. And I know your with someone now, bring them to. Bye"

"Bye.."

He ended the call and slumped down in his chair, groaning loudly. On instinct he pulled his phone out and Texted Atsumu.

"Atsumu Theres a Problem"

"What's wrong?" Sakusa smiled at his phone a little, seeing how fast Atsumu replied.

"So my family is having a family dinner even though it's hardly dinner cause there's no food but my mom knows I'm dating someone and I have to bring them but I can't take you for a number of reasons"

"Just bring one of your friends?"

"Yeah but are you okay with that?"

"Yeah course plus it's not real so"

"Okay then"
"Wait I'm not even supposed to be texting you"

"Whatever I'm sick of this stupid separation thing anyway it's not even helping"

"Well have you burned yourself since we've been separated?"

"No but I didn't when we were together for a month so"

"Fair enough"
"I have to go now so I can phone someone for a favor"

"Okay live you"

"Love* I love you to Atsu"

Atsumu❤️ has edited the message: "Okay love you"

Sakusa chuckled lightly while he called a few people, most of his friends were busy. There wasn't many more people he could ask that were vampires and high enough in the vampire patriarchy. He was running out of people.

Week three (Atsumus POV)

'This is so stupid' he thought while cleaning the dishes at the cafe on Friday.

"Hurry up Atsumu! We're almost out of clean cups!" Hinata called from the front counter.
Atsumu rushed through with a tray of cups and started putting them away.

"Is it gonna be this busy all day?" Atsumu asked Hinata after he finished putting away the cups and they were making drinks.

"Hopefully not, otherwise I might die"

Time skip to an hour before close.

"At least we're not busy anymore, like five people are here" Atsumu was cleaning the counters while Hinata was wiping down the coffee machine.

"Yeah" Atsumu replied, his mind clearly somewhere else.
'I don't even think this separation thing is worth it. I just miss him' He thought to himself.

"Ah shit. It's raining" Hinatas arms hit against his sides which made Atsumu look up and look out the window.

"Oh yeah. Atleast I don't live far" Atsumu shrugged.

"It's pretty much fine here so you can just go home Atsu"

"You sure Sho?"

"Yep"

"Thanks Shoyo" he said as he smiled at him and then went and put his hoodie on and got his phone and keys so he can leave.
As he left he was still thinking about Sakusa, not about the fact he was soaked to the bone with rain.
He started running back to the apartment building, he ran up the stairs to Sakusas door and knocked on it.

Sakusa opened the door and didn't even have time to speak before Atsumu kissed him. His cold wet hands on each side of Sakusas face.

"Im Sorry i just miss you" Atsumu said while hugging Sakusa, his head resting on his shoulder.

"Don't be sorry Atsu" Sakusa chuckled lightly as he pulled Atsumus head up and kissed him again.

"Why are you soaking though?"

"Oh it's raining. Like really bad and I'm freezing and I'm pretty sure I've got a cold or something but it's fine" He was grinning from ear to ear like he always was.

"Your an idiot" Sakusa rolled his eyes as he hugged him again.
