💜Hey everyone! I introduce a new character in this chapter. Let me know what you think of her :)💜

*Abigail's POV*

Mama felt bad about how bored I was going to work with her last week. So after making a few calls, she was able to get me a part-time job at a preschool a few blocks away from her office.

"Angel, I know you're nervous but you'll be really good with the kids! I promise." Mama assured me as Victor pulled the car up to the preschool building.

"But what if they don't like me?" I whined. "What if they think I'm weird?"

"Sweetheart, they're gonna love you. Just be yourself!" She continued. "Plus, you'll be helping out Ms. Dina, who was one of Mama's best friends back in high school. I've told her all about you."

"All about me?" I questioned, wondering just how many details she was given.

"Yes, Abigail. She knows you're a little and she knows about our relationship." She admitted. "And I promise you, she is very understanding of it."

Her emphasis on the word "very" caught my attention.

"Is she...?" I began to ask.

"Yes, she is a mommy too, sweetheart." Mama explained. "Though she doesn't have a little."

I relaxed a bit knowing that I would be with someone who shares a similar lifestyle as me.

"But I have to warn you, sweetie." She continued. "Dina is... strict. Even more so than I am. She does not tolerate disrespect. And she will be reporting back to me if you decide to act up. So don't go walking into that school thinking you're free to ignore the rules. Understood?"

I gulped. "Yes, Mama."

"Good girl." She said, leaning in to kiss me on the forehead. "Let's go in. Dina's excited to finally meet you."

Mama held my hand as we walked into the school. I gave her hand a squeeze to signal that I was feeling nervous. She squeezed back and looked down at me with a comforting smile.

Dina was just inside the door waiting to greet us.

"Savannah!" She exclaimed, running over with her arms open for a hug.

"Hello Dina!" Mama said back with excitement in her voice. "It's so good to see you!"

The two hugged and briefly caught up with each other before Dina looked down towards me. She was about Mama's height, maybe a little bit shorter. Her olive skin was complimented by her dark black hair that was tied into a small ponytail, revealing a neat undercut beneath it. Her short-sleeved button down shirt revealed tattoos covering nearly every inch of both of her arms. There were even some tattoos peaking out under her dark gray skinny jeans on her ankles.

"And this must be the famous Abigail!" She announced excitedly, bending down and giving me a big hug. I couldn't help but giggle with surprise. "Sorry, honey, I'm a hugger."

I giggled at her apology, which made Dina fawn as she cooed at me.

"Well, welcome to my preschool!" She announced, letting us take in the school.

It was small, nothing too fancy. But it had an assortment of circular tables and small chairs scattered throughout, with what looked to be a reading corner and a toy area. The walls were painted all different colors: one yellow, one purple, one blue, and one red. It was less of a school and more just one big classroom with Dina's office area tucked into one of the corners. But it was a vibrant and comfortable environment. I immediately felt somewhat jealous of the kids who got to come here for school.
