*Savannah's POV*

Abigail had woken up in the middle of the night screaming and crying for her Mommy and Mama. She finally settled down after we brought her into our bed. This has been happening more and more lately, and I think it has something to do with being in her baby headspace. She isn't in that headspace very often, but I'm wondering if that's because she actively fights it off. Dina and I want to have a talk with her about it.

My alarm went off this morning as usual. I'm always the first one awake so each morning I get to roll over and see my two favorite girls sound asleep next to me. But when I rolled over today, something was very different.

Instead of seeing Abigail curled adorably into Dina, this time she had her face right into her Mommy's chest. I sat up to get a better view and was shocked to see that she had pulled Dina's breast out of her tank top and was dry nursing it while they both remained asleep.

My eyes widened with shock as I processed what I was seeing. I smiled at the utterly precious sight, but immediately got worried that I had never discussed breastfeeding with Dina. I personally am not much into the idea of breastfeeding Abigail, but am more than happy to let Dina do it if she and Abigail want to. From what's happening before me, it seems Abigail certainly does want it.

"Dina!" I whispered, trying my best not to wake our snoozing little girl. "Dina!"

"Wha- What? What is it?" She said groggily as she went to sit up.

I put my hand on her shoulder as soon as I saw her starting to move, not wanting her to move just yet.

"Umm..." I started to say, unsure of whether or not I should even talk.

"Oh my god." Dina said in a shocked tone as she looked down to see what was happening on her chest.

I was nervous that she would react negatively or be disgusted by the sight. But instead, she lifted her head and looked me in the eyes with a smile.

"How precious is this?" She asked with excited joy.

"You're okay with it?" I asked, just wanting to make sure she was comfortable with it.

"Okay with it?" She whispered back. "I love it!"

I smiled at her happiness. It was clear that she was enjoying herself. She looked joyfully at our baby girl as she brushed back her soft hair as she suckled.

We stayed like that until Dina's alarm went off, the sound of which startled all of us and awoke Abigail from her slumber. She immediately started tearing up as she whined, still in a state of half sleep.

"Oh come here, babygirl." I said as I invited her into my arms. Dina scooted over to embrace our baby from her other side as she wept.

She was very clearly in her baby headspace, and Dina and I were both loving it. We cooed as we rubbed her head and patted her bottom, which certainly needed a change. She eventually calmed down, her head resting on my chest with her thumb in her mouth.

"Let's talk about this when you get home tonight." I said to Dina. "You need to start getting ready for work."

"What about you? Aren't you working today too?" She asked, seeing me unmoving with Abigail in my arms.

"I'm going to tell them I'm working from home. Erin can handle the busy work and I can reschedule any meetings I have. This is the first time she's ever woken up in her baby headspace and I don't think having her spend the whole day at either of our jobs is the best idea for her. It might be too much this first time." I said.

"That's a good idea." Dina responded. "Even preschoolers might be a bit too intimidating for a girl as small and precious as our Abigail is right now."

We both took another moment to admire our little sweetheart as she sucked her thumb, fighting off another wave of sleep in my arms.

It was nice to stay home with Abigail. Though I was not allowed to leave her sight, as she would instantly start to cry if I left the room, even for just a second. She stayed with me as I worked in the living room. She sat on my lap, lazily watching my laptop screen in front of me, before falling asleep on my chest. Occasionally, I would put her down on the floor and she would play with a few of the baby toys that I had bought for her along with the nursery furniture.

She loved anything that would make noise, especially the shakers. She would shake them as hard as her little arms could and she giggle so adorably at the sound. I tried my best to get work done from the couch above her but she made it so difficult with her cuteness. I just couldn't keep myself from watching her intently as she babbled and played.

She eventually settled down as I put on a baby sensory video that I had come across on Tiktok. It was a bunch of animated vegetables dancing around the screen. Abigail was mesmerized, giggling occasionally whenever the broccoli came into the picture. Even in baby space she loves her broccoli. I have to say, even I was getting entranced by the video.

So entranced that I didn't notice Dina come back from work.

"Hello! I'm home!" She yelled to no one in particular as she took her shoes and coat off.

Abigail squealed beside me, standing up on the couch to look behind us into the foyer. She bounced as her Mommy came into her sight, nearly falling over before I caught her.

"Jesus, pumpkin, be careful." She said to Abigail. "I see someone is still our little baby, huh?" She smiled as she picked the little one up.

Dina brought her around the couch and sat beside me, giving me a kiss as Abigail began to pull on the collar of her shirt.

"Uh oh, I think someone wants some metaphorical milkies!" Dina exclaimed excitedly. Clearly, she was very into the idea of breastfeeding, which made me very happy.

"God, at this rate she'll be getting more titty than I do." I said sarcastically, earning an eye roll from my beautiful partner as she unbuttoned her shirt an unclasped her bra, revealing her nipple underneath.

Abigail greedily took it in her mouth and started suckling. Dina winced as the latch mustn't have been great, but settled once she managed to get the baby adjusted.

"I was thinking about it a lot today." She began to say. "I think I'm going to start taking that medication to induce breast milk. I've always wanted to nurse and Abigail really seems to be asking for it."

I smiled and took her hand. "I think that would be amazing."

"We can discuss it more with Abigail the next time we can get her into her big headspace." Dina continued. "And if it turns out she's not into the idea, then no big deal, I just won't take those meds."

"I have a sneaking suspicion that she'll be just delighted with that idea though." I said, tickling Abigail's side a little bit, causing a half-giggle-half-grunt from her as she remained latched to Dina's nipple.

She stared up at her Mommy, her adorable, innocent eyes as blue as a sunny sky. I brushed my fingers through her hair as Dina cradled her head, rocking back and forth until her eyes fluttered off to sleep.
