*Savannah's POV*
I heard the car pull up in front of Samuel's house and excitedly ran to the window. With bittersweet tears forming in my eyes, I say my two girls for the first time in weeks. Dina helped Abigail out of the backseat and I silently choked up seeing my little girl. She wore the frilly green dress that Dina knew was my favorite.
"Baby girl, our guess are here!" I heard the psychotic voice of Samuel call for me as he walked towards the door.
Running over as he opened it, my tears officially broke down my face as I heard Abigail's voice for the first time in what may well have been an eternity.
"Mama!" She yelled excitedly as she ran her way up the steps, seemingly unfazed by the fact that I was wearing a very childish pink dress, something I would never wear unless forced. Which I had been.
"Abigail, no-!" Dina tried to cut in but couldn't in time before Abigail reached me and gave me one of her world famous hugs.
Pulling her close, I cried steadily as I caught her scent and felt her hair on my face. I felt her body jump gently as I heard sniffles coming from her, which only made me cry harder.
Looking up, I saw Dina standing there, her eyes equally teary. I opened one of my arms to invite her into Abigail and I's hug; an invitation which she quickly accepted. For a moment in Samuel's doorway, it felt like our family was back together. But then we had to hear his voice.
"Okay baby girl, let our guests come in and get settled." He said as though we weren't just reunited for the first time since he kidnapped me.
Not wanting to ruin my chances of reconnecting with my two loves, I forced myself to pull away. I cringed as I felt Samuel's hands on either of my shoulders, the sight of which turned Dina's teary eyes fiery with rage.
Even as I backed away, Abigail held my hand, and Samuel didn't seem happy about it.
"How about lunch?" He asked, trying to sound jovial. "I made chicken wraps!"
Abigail's hand remained in mine as we made our way into the dining room. In there stood Emerson and Edwards, wearing their standard black suit and tie with earpieces in one of their ears. I smiled slightly at Edwards, trying to wordlessly communicate to him how surprised I was that his plan had worked and that I was able to see my girls again. But his only reply was a seemingly downcast scowl as he tried his best to avoid eye contact with me.
Samuel directed us to sit in our seats, with my chair next to his while Abigail and Dina sat on the other side, with my little girl across from me. As Samuel went to the kitchen to get the food, Abigail got out of her seat, avoiding the reaching arm of Dina, and ran over to me. Climbing up onto my seat, she straddled my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck tightly and sighing with relief as she laid her head on my chest.
Dina gave me a mixed look of admiration and worry, assumingely at how Samuel would react when he walks in and sees it.
Feeling the tears well up in my eyes again, I rested my hand on her head and rubbed circles on her back. For that moment, I tried my very best to imagine that we were back at home safe and sound.
"I love you, Abigail." I whispered, trying my best not to fully sob in front of her.
"I love you too, Mama." She whispered back, making my heart explode into a million pieces.
I felt such an immense love with her on my lap. A love that was overshadowed by the vile circumstances in which we found ourselves. A love that at any moment could be torn apart by a man who had no right to interfere with it.
