*Dina's POV*
Ahhhh this is happening right now!
Savannah just texted me, letting me know that her and Abigail were on their way to my apartment to pick me up for our date tonight. My heart fluttered at the thought of spending my night with someone as cute and adorable as Abigail, and someone as stunningly beautiful as Savannah.
They told me that they would plan everything, and that what we would be doing was a secret. The only detail I got from them was that I should dress warm. It's a cold winter night, so I'm assuming we'll be doing something outside. I can't imagine what though.
I looked in my full-length mirror one last time to give myself final approval on my outfit choice. I picked a black and white checkered flannel, black skinny jeans, brown leather boots, and a red beanie. Though my winter coat would be covering most of it, I still wanted to look good for my dates.
My phone buzzed again, showing a text from Savannah saying they were parked outside. I ran downstairs with panicked excitement. I hadn't been on a date in years, and I was still in disbelief that this was happening. I've had a crush on Savannah Monroe since high school. Before she was the Savannah Monroe. Reconnecting with her, and being able to introduce Abigail into my life has been nothing short of a dream for me. I've always been called a hopeless romantic, but I have a feeling that tonight could be the start of something special.
I opened the door to my building and was immediately bombarded by a hug from Abigail.
"Ms. Dina!" She shrieked excitedly as she barreled her little body into mine, wrapping her arms around my torso.
"Well hello cutie pie!" I said, the wind half knocked out of me.
"Abigail, sweetie, be careful!" Savannah chided with a laugh. "You almost knocked Dina right over!"
"Oh, it's quite alright." I said with a smile, ruffling Abigail's hair a bit. "She's just a little excited, is all."
"She's very excited." Savannah replied. "Abigail, do you want to tell Dina what we'll be doing tonight?"
The adorable little cutie clapped her hands, a huge smile plastered on her face. "We're going ice skating!" She yelled loud enough for the whole block to here.
"Ice skating? I love ice skating!" I said back, loving the idea that they had come up with.
"I remembered you played on the hockey team in high school." Savannah said with a smile. "So we figured ice skating would be the perfect thing to do."
I blushed at her recollection of my high school days. "If I remember correctly, you were quite the figure skater back then, right?"
"I could get around without falling on my ass, if that's what you mean." Savannah replied with a laugh.
"I no know how to skate." Abigail said in her adorable voice, signaling that she was very much in her little head space. She looked up at me with nervous eyes.
"That's okay, pumpkin." I said back to her. "Your Mama and I can teach you."
We piled into the car as Savannah drove us to the ice rink. It was an outdoor rink, right in the center of the city's downtown, and was lit up beautifully as visitors were able to skate around. Abigail bounced with excitement in the back seat as we parked and made our way to the entrance. I had to tell her to sit still as I tied up her skates. She was so thrilled to be here that she nearly cut my hand with it's blade.
"You ready, sweetie?" I asked her when we all finished lacing up. She looked up at me with her precious little nervous eyes, giving me an anxious nod. "Don't worry, Abigail, you've got some good teachers right here with you." I said as I looked up at Savannah and smiled. She smiled back, seemingly happy that Abigail and I have such a strong bond.
