*Savannah's POV*

Dina and I have officially been dating for a couple of months now. Since our first date, she's spent the majority of nights at my apartment. Her and Abigail have formed a very close bond, and I feel like we make a really good team.

Abigail and I have discussed Dina and how she fits into our relationship at length. Over the past couple of weeks, we've managed to come to a big decision. We want her to officially become part of our family as Abigail's Mommy.

Her and Abigail were on their way home for dinner after their day at her preschool. Abigail has been staying later with her to help her clean up, which also gives me a couple of extra hours to get work done an prepare dinner. I was making pasta alla vodka, Dina's favorite. Abigail really likes it too. She'll happily eat any kind of pasta, a trait she gets from her Mama.

I was so busy cooking up a storm that I barely heard the two of them come through the front door, stomping their boots so they don't track snow further into the house.

"How are my two favorite ladies?" I yelled from the kitchen as they unbundled themselves from their scarves, mittens, and winter coats.

"It's freezing out there Mama!" Abagail shouted before she ran around the corner to give me a big hug.

"I know, baby." I said back as I returned her hug. "But do you know what the coming of the cold means?" I asked, chuckling as her little eyes widened with curiosity.

"What, Mama?! What?!" She squealed with excited bounces.

"It means it's almost Christmas!" I exclaimed, picking my baby girl up as she shrieked with joyful thrill.

"Woah woah! What's all the hubbub about in here?" Dina said with playful sarcasm as she rounded the corner into the kitchen.

"It almost Christmas, Dina! It almost Christmas!" Abigail shouted, almost bouncing out of my arms with excitement.

"I know it is, pumpkin." Dina said with a smile. "Do you think you've behaved well enough to get on Santa's nice list this year?"

"Yes." Abigail replied with worry in her eyes. She looked back to me. "Right, Mama?"

"I think you've been a very good girl this year, sweet pea." I said back, causing her face to relax back to her normal happy expression. "Do you want to tell Dina about her early Christmas present over dinner?" I asked her in a hushed tone just loud enough for Dina to overhear.

Abigail nodded eagerly. "Alright, go wash your hands, the food is ready." I said before she hopped out of my arms and ran to the bathroom.

"She's been acting... funny today." Dina said, coming closer and giving me a kiss. "Like she's hiding something from me."

"Hmm." I said back, feigning my unknowing as I smirked slightly. "I don't know what she could be hiding."

Dina raised an eyebrow and returned the playful grin. "You better not be hiding anything from me either. You know what happens when you keep things from me." She whispered her playful threat in my ear, causing a shiver to run down my spine.

Dina definitely likes to take control, especially over Abigail but over me too. Not in a bad or overbearing way, though. I'm not very used to it, but I've really liked it, especially the bedroom aspects of her and I's growing dynamic.

"I guess we'll have to see." I said back with a playfully bratty tone, looking her right in the eyes as if to say what are you gonna do about it. I, for one, would really like to know what she'll do about it.

Our fun stare-down couldn't amount to anything spicier before Abigail came running back into the kitchen with an energetic smile spread across her face.

"No running in the house!" Dina yelled, still facing me, as the small girl whirled past us on our way to the dinner table. Despite Dina not even living here permanently, she enforces the house rules as though this was her home. To me and Abigail, this was already her home, even if she didn't realize it yet.

Abigail sat breathlessly at the table, pretending as though she was patiently waiting there the whole time. She grinned and giggled as Dina and I made our way in and set the table.

Abigail and I stayed silent for the first few minutes of our meal. We would look up at each other periodically as we ate, as though asking one another who would be the first to speak. Dina noticed one of our looks to each other and voiced her concern.

"Okay, why is it so quiet in here?" She asked, eventually being the one to cut through the hush.

I smiled, looking at Abigail across from me as she smirked back, squirming adorably in her chair.

"Dina, we have something we want to tell you about." I said, taking her hand in mine.

She looked back at me, slight worry crossing her face.

"What is it?" She asked.

I hesitated with nervous excitement.

"Abigail and I want you to..." I took an anxious breath, unsure how to word my question despite rehearsing it in my head for the past few days. "We want you to join our little family. Officially." I said back with a genuine smile.

"I- I would love that." Dina replied happily, casually wiping the corners of her mouth with her napkin. "But, what do you mean exactly?" She asked, looking to both Abigail and I. It appears my hesitant question might have been a little bit too vague to convey my true meaning.

"I-, we-," I was stuttering, unsure of how blunt to be with her.

"Will you be my Mommy?!" Abigail shouted, cutting me off from my senseless spiral with a giggle as she bounced in her chair.

"Oh! I-." Dina began to say, clearly shock and stuttering a bit as she choked up. Tears began to form in her eyes as her cheeks flushed red. Her hesitation made my heart drop for a second, and from the quick change of Abigail's facial expression from excited to nervous, I assumed my little girl experienced the same feeling. We were both convinced that the answer would be no. Until Dina again broke the silence.

"I would love to be your Mommy, Abigail."

Dina said this as she burst into joyful tears. Abigail and I looked at each other, smiles painted wide across our faces. Then we both made our way over to Dina, who had descended into a tearful mess at her seat, and wrapped ourselves around her. We stayed that way for a few moments as Dina wept happily, probably overwhelmed with the emotions she was feeling.

She eventually looked up at us. "I've never been happier than I am when I'm with the two of you." She said before she dropped her head back into her hands to cry some more.

By this point, Abigail and I were both in tears too as we embraced the new Mommy of our little family.
