Mark: Day 2 of Project:SDM. It is currently 48:15:37 hours since the project has begun. Many problems had arose throughout the rewriting process, major one being the inability to affect the CPU and programming of the vessel without running the risk of said vessel activating and attacking me. Fortunately I have found a way to investigate the inner workings of a murder drone through serial designation V. One of the original murder drones sent to eliminate any "rouge" worker drones here on copper 9. Currently she is being held up by chains preventing her escape. Thankfully I haven't given her the heat proof plating I have given my father, serial designation N, and my mother Marlene Conagher now named serial designation M. I have yet to figure out my own designation but I'll worry about that later. Onto my actual progress, through the search of serial designation V's code there might be a loophole that bypassing the firewall that is active when the murder drone isn't enabled. If my hypothesis is correct this should be able to jump ahead of schedule exponentially, but for now there doesn't to seem any possible holes to pass through. End of log.

After stopping the recording I turn back to a cut open V laying on the table.

Mark: Well then, V. Let's see what makes you tick.

V: Let me out of here!

I watch her thrash around on the table trying to escape. Her hydraulics are well done. The constricting acting of her arms and how her elbow is able to maintain it's wits in place. Truly ingenious designs from JCJENSON. Though I will admit, her legs are confusing, only two diamond prismatic shapes. N's legs made some sense as it more fits inline with the worker drones and easier landing and easier to gain footing against enemies but these darts for legs make them easy to be taken off balance, though overall it is still great craftsmanship even if it was meant to kill worker drones. Alright, let's put her to bed. I inject her with the same green liquid I used on N.

Mark: Hush now test subject. For tomorrow you may wake, or tomorrow you'll be dead.

Those were the last words she heard before she shut off. I look at her internal structures finding the same components within N. Though my mother's attempt at the murder drone needs a few work around such as a proper nanite system, armory, and other things. I grab cables and input them into V, the vessel, the monitor, and I to finally solve this precarious problem.

Outside

Uzi, N, and Marlene are walking around the city as a way to pass time as their relative tries to implant their consciousness into another body.

N: The city looks prettier when you're not flying at top speeds.

He says looking at the buildings he used to fly past by at nearly 70 mph.

Uzi: All of this is new to me so I can't really say much.

Marlene: This place changed a lot didn't it?

She says reminiscing about her time as a young child walking through the streets.

Marlene: I remember walking down these streets with mom, dad, and Khan everyday, getting groceries, meeting my friends, and Khan making his original door. So many good memories, I think.

Uzi: Wow, a lot changes in a few years doesn't it?

Marlene: You could say that again. What about you? What was life in the colony like?

Uzi: Ugh. It's like being in a cage. You wake up, go to school, do other things, sleep, rinse and repeat.

N: I feel awful for you.

Uzi: It sucked sure, but Mark made it fun while we were in there.

Her visor bugs out replacing on of her eyes into a strange three prong triangle.

N: How exactly was Mark doing, since y'know. Neither of us were there for him.

He said remorseful of not being there, but what can you expect from a murder drone being the father of a worker drone.

Uzi: Truth be told, he was fun to be with. He was my brother in a sense.

N: Thanks for taking care of him when we couldn't.

He turns back to Uzi now realizing the triangle in her visor.

N: Uhhh, was that always there?

Uzi: What?

N: The triangle.

Marlene turns to the both of them wondering what triangle they're talking about.

Marlene: What triangle?

N: The one on her eye.

He points to the triangle being mentioned. Uzi's visor glitches again causing the triangle to disappear just as Marlene faces Uzi.

Marlene: I don't see one.

N turns back to Uzi's visor and sees it back to normal.

N: Probably just imagining stuff.

He says now being in the lookout for other symbols. The trio continue walking until Marlene stops walking making the other two stop.

N: What's wrong?

Marlene looks at the building in front of her with the other two looking at what she was looking. A moderate sized house, 2 stories tall, roughly three bedrooms, one bathroom, again a decent house.

Uzi: What did you find?

Marlene: Home.

This, this is quite interesting. While trying to cross reference the two codes between V and the vessel I had accidentally accessed her memory storage. Not intended, no time for exploration, but that doesn't mean it'll escape my grasp that easily. I made a separate folder within the monitor and copied her memories onto the folder to check later. Now onto more important matters. I exit her memory storage and continue to cross reference both codes until I finally stumble across what I'm looking for.

Code (vessel): <Status: inactive (undefined)>

Code (V): <Status: inactive (forced)>

Hmmmm. This doesn't make sense. In the 10 years of coding. I have never seen such a nonsensical line of code. Even if I am angry at what the original programers, it does make the job easier.

Outside

The trio stand outside of Marlene's old home with the latter of the three tearing up at the sight of her childhood home.

Uzi: Home? What do you mean?

Marlene doesn't respond but walks to the door.

N: Marlene, hold on!

N catches up to Marlene leaving Uzi to follow the both of them to the door step. Marlene goes to open the door revealing it to be open.
