Code: <Reboot progress:100%>

I woke up with a weird feeling in my chest like someone tampered with me. I don't know what it is so I just ignored it and connected myself to the monitor just to be safe if I was ok. Unknown to me that Uzi just walked into the pod.

Uzi: Mark! You're ok!

Mark: Hmmm? Oh! Hey Uzi. What happened?

???: You overloaded your CPU.

I quickly turn around and pulled my sword on the feminine voice only to see my mother.

Mark: Oh, it's just you.

I place the sword on my back and check my status.

Mark: Let's see here... that looks good, that looks good.

I keep scrolling through my code because something's telling me to check on it.

Mark: Hydraulics look good.

I'm about to disconnect myself but I noticed a strange line I haven't seen before.

Code: <CPU:50%>
<SDM Required>
<Destroy:(AItype:MrkNsn1 time:120) >

Mark: Wait. No. This shouldn't be here.

I keep rereading it over and over again hoping it's just a typo, but no. Right there it was. I was going to die in five days. I slowly unplug myself at the crushing realization.

Mark: And to think my life just got normal. Heh.

Marlene: Mark. There's an idea that all three of us had, and we think it could work.

Mark: And what would that be?

I spoke in a dead tone. I'm about to die in five days. What else would you expect?

N: We might know what Project:SDM is.

Mark: Shit.

I pull my gun and sword on them but they don't even try to do anything except shield themselves. This was a project that had a 54.7% chance that it would work. To say that it would be prevented to the max would be an understatement.

Marlene: Let us finish before you try to kill us!

She said covering herself with her wings.

Mark: Are you going to try to stop me?

I said millimeters away from firing a shot.

N: No! We're thinking this can save your life.

Mark: Do you understand how risky this project is? I have a higher chance of hitting a bullseye from 50 miles away than get this to actually work.

Marlene: Who said you were doing this by yourself?

Mark: Me. I'm the only one here besides you who knows how to code.

Uzi: Look Mark. N and I might not know how to code, but we could help you out somehow.

Mark: *Sigh* Fine. So let's say I do let you guys help. There is still too much that can go wrong.

I pull out a holographic list of all things that could go wrong. Trust me, I've thought of every single theoretical thing that could go wrong with transferring a consciousness.

Mark: If I want this to work I need complete and total concentration meaning everyone stays outside of the pod while I work on this.

N: Ok then.

The three start heading out before I call my dad out.

Mark: Hold on N.

N: You need something before you begin?
