Lisa opened her eyes to find herself in an unknown room. A bright light hung above her head and she had trouble focusing her eyes. She blinked a few times and tried to turn her head, but her body didn't obey her ; a few moments later, darkness engulfed her once again.

It was finally Monday morning in Shantivan and everyone was gathered around the dining table. Nani had asked the workers to pay extra attention to breakfast and prepare some special dishes for Khushi as it will be her first day joining AR in a new position.
Khushi couldn't contain her joy all morning, she was running around the house, wanting everything to be perfect before she left. Everyone was amused with her antics, and the light mood they brought. They all wanted to enjoy the morning before facing the results of the PI's report in the evening. But they were sure of one thing : after today, there will only be happiness for both families as they will be able to push Shyam out of their lives; But for now, it was all about Khushi and supporting her in this new step of her life.
The Guptas were thankful for Arnav's support of their daughter. They knew how much she liked working and being independent and they knew she had to sacrifice that because they couldn't afford to send her to college. But now they were watching her go towards another of her dreams, and they were happy that she could have everything she craved for.
Garima felt especially emotional. She always feared that she wasn't the best mother possible for Khushi, that maybe she favoured Payal unknowingly. But seeing Khushi's happiness, she felt relieved about her role in her life.
To celebrate this new beginning, for everyone, as today was to mark a Shyam-free era at Shantivan, as Khushi innocently put it the night before, she decided to make her favourite Jalibi along with everything else he workers made for breakfast, and then decided to feed a piece to everyone around the table.
Anjali was happy seeing Khushi's efforts to include her in everything, not letting her alone to sulk. She even instructed payal and NK to take care of her while she was in the office. She admired the young girl infront of her, and was happy to see that she didn't lose her chirpy sunny behaviour.
After having breakfast, Anjali and Nani performed a special prayer to wish Khushi good luck, and then let her head to AR with Arnav, Arkash having left earlier.
During the ride, Khushi started to feel nervous, the last time she worked at AR was eventful and ended up with her almost dying in a collapsing construction site. She knew that everything was different now : Arnav finally accepted his feelings for her, and he was making it up to her for every wrong thing he did to her, so she didn't need to be apprehensive, yet, she was.
Arnav sensed her uneasiness and was irked by her unusual silence during the ride, he still gave her some space for a few minutes, but then decided to intervene to know what was wrong with her, especially when she started biting her nails in stress. He decided to use his favourite flirting sentence : « tum theek ho ?» [are you ok ?]
Khushi came back from her thinking mode and stared at him wide eyed, he smiled at her, and she smiled back, understanding that he wanted to make her comfortable. « Actually, I know we talked about it, but I still feel a little stressed; How will the others react when I come back to AR ? And that too, as your wife ? I was thinking that maybe you shouldn't introduce me as your wife just yet, since the media didn't disclose my name anyway. I don't want people fearing me or not being themselves around me anymore »
Arnav didn't know how to react to her declaration, they spent the night before talking about today, and she didn't talk about this matter then, she only asked practical questions about her position and work. He was confused to see his fierce Khushi being afraid and hesitant « I really don't think there will be any issues with it my love, I want everybody in the office to know and respect you for who you are, I ... I don't want anyone to behave as they did in the past with you. And I really want you to take your rightful place beside me, as my wife, even if we don't show it in the office. But I want this new experience to be as per your wish, so I will do everything in my power to make you feel at ease, my love. I want you to live each and every one of your dreams to its fullest »
