6- One wedding can hide an other

Aman arrived within 30min with Arnav and Khushi's attires, while the two to-be married couples were getting ready for the wedding.

Akash was still processing the day's conversation, and he made a mental note to talk to Payal about trusting him in anything. They are going to share their life, so trust and communication should be the basis of their union. He felt slightly jealous that Arnav and Khushi understood this before them. But again, that was not a competition.

Arnav, on the other hand, was trying to concentrate on Khushi, the day should be special for her, since the following days will be tiring and revolve around exposing Shyam. He didn't want her to regret not having the wedding of her dreams. He was so glad she confided in him, didn't know what he would have done otherwise. Thankfully, he didn't have to think of that !

When Aman entered his room with his sherwani, he was still lost in thoughts. He came back to reality and thanked his most trusted employee and friend. He also decided to fill him in with the details of the day's happenings. Aman already knew something serious happened because of the hasty wedding, he knew ASR wasn't one to make decisions without thinking all the ins and outs. After hearing the whole story, Aman was enraged! How could anyone be that cunning? He knew from ASR how devoted Anjali was to her husband, and he also knew Khushi as a kind, smart girl. That moron didn't deserve to be called a man. He vowed to do anything in his power to send him out of his friend's life.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, he was still glad to know that ASR realised his feelings for Khushi, he somehow always knew something was cooking between them, seeing the importance his boss and friend was giving the girl. Something he has never seen him do before, even with the most important models or clients of AR.

Arnav got ready in a simple white sherwani, saving the heavy sophisticated one for his own wedding and they started discussing some legal points to insure Khushi and Anjali's protection. He also wanted tight security for his in-laws and all the best facilities for Shashi Gupta to recover as fast as possible.Within an hour, everything was set, and Roy, Arnav's lawyer, would be informed the first thing in the morning. For everything else, they have to wait for the PI's investigation to start. They decided to go help downstairs, Anjali and Shyam would be out of their room by now, and Arnav didn't want them to suspect anything.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the house, Khushi and Payal were getting their makeup and hair done. When Aman arrived, he directly sent Khushi's lehenga to the room with HP, and she quickly hid it in the dresser, knowing Anjali would probably join them soon after getting ready. Before the latter came to the room, Payal wanted to ask her if she was fine. She was blaming herself for not seeing how the snake was still behind her little sister. She started as soon as the beauticians went out of the room :

"Khushi, I'm so sorry I didn't realise what was happening around me, you should have told me he was still disturbing you, I would have talked to Akash about it, he would have helped you"

Khushi was thankful, but she knew her sister wouldn't have been able to do anything. Plus, she didn't want her to tarnish her relationship with Akash and the family, especially mami-ji.

"I know jiji, but what could you do at that time? Mami-ji is already looking for every possible occasion to demean you, I just wanted you to enjoy your wedding properly. But when HE crossed HIS limits, I had to tell Arnav, he's the only one who could do something against HIM."

She shivered remembering the way he forcefully hugged her. She took a good 20min in the shower earlier to get rid of the sensation of his touch on her, and she would have stayed longer if she could.

"Yes, but I should have known better than to let you within his reach. Thankfully Arnav-ji didn't doubt you when you told him about HIS past doings. He really does love you a lot doesn't he?"
