This story will start from Payash's wedding. Everything is the same as the show before that. I'll change the story after the terrace scene. I've always hated the way Arnav reacted, and how Khushi just lost all her fie...
After the joyful dinner, the whole family came back to Shantivan and settled in the living area, they were still chatting happily and talking about the plans for the baby's future nursery. That's when Shyam declared he had something to show the family. He stood up and took Anjali's hand, leading her upstairs while the others trailed behind, puzzled.
Shyam closed Anjali's eyes with his hand while he pushed the door of their room open. When he took it off, she immediately squealed in joy seeing his surprise. and the elders also shared a happy smiling look. The surprise was a crib, beautifully decorated with red roses. (the same one as the show)

"Rani Sahiba, that is what kept me away today, I was planning this surprise for you and our little princess. I hope you didn't feel too bad when I came late to the restaurant. I have made it myself at my friend's house to keep it as a surprise, I didn't even go to work today. I hope you like it."
The elders felt happy with his care, they were relieved that he wasn't giving his work more importance than his wife and future baby. But the youngsters didn't feel good about this move of his. They were sure there was something fishy about it. They all exchanged a questioning look, they hoped he wasn't suspecting that they knew his truth. They had to act well, so Arnav pulled the over caring brother card but twisted his words to put some more doubts on his sister's mind
"That surprise is great jeeja-ji, but you should have told us at least, we would have kept Di entertained so that she wouldn't feel left out. And also, I didn't know you had such talent for wood work to be able to create a whole crib, that too In only one day of work, very impressive!"
Shyam smiled at him, he was so happy that the great Arnav Singh Raizada bought his lie so easily that he missed the tinge of sarcasm in his voice. But Anjali knew her brother better, and she was now thinking about what he said, she also didn't know about her husband's talent for woodwork, and Arnav was right, the crib looked professionally done, why did Shyam have to lie about this?
The youngsters did also catch Arnav's hint, if Shyam was lying about spending the day working on this crib, he was surely up to something. They hoped the PI was following him today, they needed to tackle him as soon as possible but Anjali's pregnancy shouldn't be at risk. They needed serious undeniable proof of his deeds.
Shyam was happy with his lie, and decided to add more to it
" I like to work with my hands, Sale Sahib, and it was the least I could do for my Rani Sahiba and our Rajkumari. It's not that much of a work when you do it with your heart."
He said while showing his hands which were manicured as always. Well, the Raizada son in law had to take care of his crisp image didn't he? But he forgot that he is supposed to have done a manual task today.
Arnav smirked, seeing the chance to tackle him once more, but he couldn't bring it himself, it wasn't like him to notice those kinds of things. Fortunately, NK was just beside him, so he gestured towards Shyam's hands, he knew his cousin would get the hint, he was one to notice those "silly" things, as he used to put it. He remembered NK was always the first one to notice if a family member changed hairstyle, perfume or way of clothing, he used to find it annoying, but now, that came in handy.
