Sorry for taking so long to get this chapter out. I didn't have the motivation for this chapter. This isn't the best and I'm really sorry.

After finding no other leads, Saihara and the Amamis decided to investigate the principal's office, spurred forward by what the nurse wrote in her diary. No matter how big or small the evidence may be, they didn't mind as long as they had some. When they reached the walkway between wings, a strange noise made their blood run cold.

The sound became louder before a grown man fell from the roof, a sickening crunch replacing a scream as he hit the ground. Yuka crouched low, covering her head with her hands as she whimpered in fear. Saihara went pale as he stared at the corpse that had now disappeared. "What the hell?"

"I'm guessing that was the principal," Amami whispered to himself. He remembered reading about the man throwing himself off the school's roof.

They heard a strange noise before watching the principal fall to his death again. Amami winced and turned to Yuka. "Don't look!" He demanded. The young girl nodded and turned around, sobbing as she clasped her hands over her ears. With eyes of sorrow, Amami turned to look at the spot where the principal's body landed, only to disappear. Reliving your death for all eternity... In Amami's mind, there wasn't a worse torture.

As he stared at the scene, Amami noticed something glinting in the dirt before pointing at it. "Am I insane, or is there something over there?" Saihara's eyes narrowed as he tried to find what was being pointed out to him. Amami lowered his hand and took a step toward the railing. "I'm gonna get it."

Saihara stared at Amami like he'd grown five heads before grabbing his arm. "It's way too dangerous!"

"It's fine." Amami gently pushed his friend away before carefully climbing over the railing, wary of the rotting wood. "I'll time it right and grab whatever it is when it's safe."

Despite Saihara's concerns, Amami climbed over the railing and slowly stepped forward, rain slamming against his skin. He carefully stepped toward the shiny object, taking extra care with his footing. One misstep meant he'd tumble down the dirt ledge leading to what appeared to be an endless forest.

This time, the principal fell to his death only a few metres from Amami, who winced upon impact. When the principal's body disappeared, Amami rushed forward and snatched the shiny object. He didn't check what it was but felt the cool metal against his fingers as he hurried back to the walkway.

When he felt the familiar floorboards beneath his feet, Amami let out a sigh of relief. He uncurled his hand to see a small key. It looked too small to be a regular door key, especially in their current setting. "Maybe it belongs to a desk or a cabinet?" Amami asked.

"We'll find out when we get to the principal's office." Saihara smiled, helping Yuka to her feet.

Yuka rushed to Amami and hugged him tight. "I'm glad you're okay, big brother."

Entering the second wing, they walked up to the third floor, finding themselves faced with a single door. Amami went to open it, only to find it locked. "Do you guys have a key that might work?"

"Why not try the one you're holding?" Saihara asked, motioning to Amami's clenched fist. Amami frowned, assuming that the key probably wouldn't fit, but it couldn't hurt to try. To his amazement, the lock gave no resistance. With a shaky hand, Amami slowly pushed open the creaky door.

Nothing but a black void awaited them, only fading away when they walked inside and their eyes adjusted to the unlit room. Ofuda covered every inch of the walls, letters haphazardly scrawled on each. A masculine voice made them all jump and look around, unable to find the owner.
