The bed subtly caved beneath Saihara's body as Amami gently placed him atop the white sheets. His chest rose and fell in a rhythmic pattern that settled Amami's worries. If he didn't have any context, Amami would assume he fell asleep. "Rest up," he whispered as if the sleeping boy could hear.
Amami didn't want to leave Saihara alone for any amount of time, but he also didn't want Yuka to suffer alone for much longer. His love for both people pulled him in opposite directions, but he ended up choosing Yuka. She couldn't survive on her own whereas Saihara could.
He reminded himself that the danger was worthwhile if it meant saving his terrified, lonely sister. No one deserved harm and Saihara would be sleeping for at least a little while longer. It seemed the only threats were themselves and Amami promised himself not to leave for long.
The man stopped thinking when he reached a familiar hallway that lead to the second wing, except it wasn't a hallway. What previously was a long, empty path was now a wall cutting him off from helping someone who meant the world to him. How was he supposed to find Yuka now?! Would she die because of him? Amami shouted in frustration and kicked the wall. "Please," he whispered, "be okay Yuka."

Freezing air pierced his skin as Ouma shivered. A single drop of rain would probably be agonising. "Why does it have to be so fucking cold," he whispered. The man stared out at the endless sea of trees surrounding the school, not wanting to move from the walkway between buildings. "Where the fuck are Iruma and Tojo-sensei..." Ouma groaned and turned to the main building. "Don't leave me by myself! Even supreme leaders can be scared sometimes, you assholes!"
Maybe it would be better to return to Class 1-A and wait for everyone. They'd all come across the room whilst exploring the school - which Ouma knew his classmates would do. He already explored the entire second building whilst fighting a pounding, excruciating headache. Going back in there unnecessarily would be nothing short of stupid so Ouma turned and entered the main building. At least it wasn't as cold.
Many voices filled his ears and he couldn't differentiate between each one. They turned into a blur of pleas and cries. "Stop it!" Ouma screamed as he covered his ears which did little to stop the voices. "Just stop it!"
"We were killed by an educator." The voice of a young girl spoke clearly through the mess, effectively silencing it and freeing Ouma. He opened his eyes to see a small girl adorning a red, tattered dress. Ouma screamed in fear and watched the girl slowly fade into thin air until she disappeared entirely. Why didn't she have the same blue, translucent glow as the other ghosts? Anyone would mistake her for another living human at a first glance.
Shaking off the odd encounter, Ouma continued through the hallways as he tried to find the classroom. As he shuffled along, his shoe caught on one of the many uneven floorboards, making him trip and land on his hands and knees. He hissed when his hands landed in a pile of broken glass, feeling the skin between his thumb and forefinger slice open upon impact.
Tears filled his eyes as blood soaked into the wood. Hurrying to snatch his handkerchief, Ouma wrapped it around his hand and huffed, trying to ignore the pain. What a great fucking moment to have anaemia. Dizziness began to overwhelm him almost instantly and Ouma groaned. He'd need to sit down and take a break.
Sitting in the hall wouldn't be the safest idea in case he fell unconscious. He stumbled as he tried to continue walking, making his way toward the infirmary nearby. It felt safer than the classrooms or hallways.
After a long struggle and a blood-soaked handkerchief, Ouma reached the infirmary and slammed the door shut. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath, hoping to quell his dizziness. When his eyes opened again, they landed on the antique doll that he threw earlier, the one that couldn't save Yumeno. Maybe it didn't work before, but it could become useful in the future...
