Chapter 1

Kai didn't keep his promise because the "next time maybe" never happened. Since he was going to debut soon, he began to have a lot to do: filming his teasers, practicing the dance moves and much more. The fact that he didn't have time for Seulgi and that he didn't remember her didn't help them talk again. He left the trainees. And Seulgi.

The last and first time they talked was the first day she came into the agency.
Now that he had so many fans, Seulgi was more scared to get closer to him.
"What will he think of a simple girl like me. I haven't even debuted while he is so popular, he won't want to stay with me. I missed my chance. It's over," she thought. "I must debut too. The sooner possible."

Years have passed and Kai and Seulgi never talked to each other again. They only saw each other in the practice room when SM Rookies were practicing before EXO. Never more than simple greetings done by strangers. Every time Seulgi thought about the chance she had, she felt terrible. The more she felt terrible, the more she would practice to debut, which happened all the time.
Her efforts paid since the company remarked her and chose her to be part of their new girl group: RED VELVET with three other girls.

She cried this day. For too many reasons, but we know that these tears were all tears of joy.
"I can't believe I made it. I will finally be able to talk to him. Just wait for me Kai. We will be on the same stage real soon!"

POV of Kai.
Se Hun: Don't you think these days have been too calm?
Kai: What do you mean? Do you want to get in trouble idiot?
Se Hun: I'm talking about the agency. Nothing happens except our too-busy-and-freaking-tiring-schedule.
Kai: I don't get you. The way everything is right now is perfect. Really perfect.
Se Hun with a smirk on his face: Don't you want to see other girls?
Kai said while hitting Se Hun: I don't want to get in trouble, stop.
Se Hun: OUTCH! You stupid hyung. OH!
Kai said surprised: WHAT? Did I hit you too hard?
Se Hun: Of course, but that's not the thing here. You remember when I said that nothing happened here?
Kai: Like two minutes ago?
Se Hun: Oh, that's right, I just said it. Well you still remember.
Kai: Won't you tell me?! Go straight to the point.
Se Hun: There is a new girl group.
Kai: That's it? You scared me, you idiot.
Se Hun: What, that's it? You care this much?
Kai: It's not that I don't care but that I don't mind.
Se Hun: And the difference is...?
Kai: Whatever. Would you even understand.
Se Hun: You're not a nice hyung, stupid squid.
Kai: And you're the worst donsaeng. Look at you talk informally to your hyung.

Then, the manager enters the room with the rest of the member of EXO in the practice room.

Manager: That's what you call practicing?
Se Hun: I call that taking a break since we were practicing too hard just before.
Manager: Hu-huh. I hope for you that's right. Guys, I have something to tell you.
Se Hun whispers in Kai's ear: Look, he's going to tell us that there's a new group in the agency.
Manager: A new group will debut soon so I hope for your cooperation and be good sunbaes, ok?
Se Hun: Why am I so perfect, huh?
Kai: Shut Up, I'm trying to listen ok?
Se Hun: Why? You're not even interested.
Kai: It doesn't mean that I shouldn't know the minimum about them.
Manager: Since they will have their first appearance on TV this saturday, I will expect your support.
D.O: Since when are you so preoccupied by our attitude with other idols in the agency? Are you biased? added D.O with a laugh.
Su Ho: Is it because it's a girl group?
Tao: SERIOUSLY?

Kai: I am, so good night.

Kai leaves the room while the EXO members try to figure out where they could find the new girl group.
